Ferenc Kazinczy,, was a Hungarian author, poet, translator, neologist, an agent in the regeneration of the Hungarian language and literature at the turn of the 19th century. Today his name is connected with the extensive Language Reform of the 19th century, when thousands of words were coined or revived, enabling the Hungarian language to keep up with scientific progress and become an official language of the nation in 1844. For his linguistic and literary works he is regarded as one of the cultural founders of the Hungarian Reform Era along with Dávid Baróti Szabó, Ferenc Verseghy, György Bessenyei, Mátyás Rát and János Kis.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kingdom of Hungary</span> Central European monarchy (1000–1946)

The Kingdom of Hungary was a monarchy in Central Europe that existed for nearly a millennium, from 1000 to 1946. The Principality of Hungary emerged as a Christian kingdom upon the coronation of the first king Stephen I at Esztergom around the year 1000; his family led the monarchy for 300 years. By the 12th century, the kingdom became a European power.

Skorenovac is a village located in the Kovin municipality, in the South Banat District of Serbia, in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The village has a Hungarian ethnic majority (86.71%) and a population of 2,574.

The Révay family was a Hungarian noble family, who owned estates in Turóc county, the Kingdom of Hungary until the early 20th century. Their property included i.a. the Rococo-classical manor house in Mošovce, the so-called Old Manor house demolished in the middle of the 20th century, the Noblemen's Mansion and the park in Mošovce, a castle in Blatnica, lands and a castle in Sklabiňa, as well as a manor-house with a park in Turčianska Štiavnička.

Tatabányai Sport Club is a Hungarian football club based in Tatabánya, Komárom-Esztergom, Hungary. The team set to play in Nemzeti Bajnokság II from 2024–25, the second tier of Hungarian football after promotion from Nemzeti Bajnokság III in 2023–24. They play their home games at Stadion Gyula Grosics.

The Kingdom of Hungary, referred to retrospectively as the Regency and the Horthy era, existed as a country from 1920 to 1946 under the rule of Miklós Horthy, Regent of Hungary, who officially represented the Hungarian monarchy. In reality there was no king, and attempts by King Charles IV to return to the throne shortly before his death were prevented by Horthy.

Baron Ferenc Forgách de Ghymes et Gács was a Hungarian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, who served as archbishop of Esztergom from 1607 to 1615.

Ferenc Papcsák is a Hungarian lawyer and politician, who served as Mayor of Zugló from 2010 to 2014. Besides that he represented Zugló in the National Assembly of Hungary between 2010 and 2014. He was also Member of Parliament for Baktalórántháza between 2002 and 2006.

The Hungarian Republic was a short-lived republic that existed between August 1919 and February 1920 in the central and western portions of the former First Hungarian Republic. The state was established in the aftermath of the Hungarian–Romanian War by counter-revolutionary forces who sought to return to the status quo prior to 31 October 1918.
