American rapper Desiigner has released one mixtape, three EPs, 21 singles (including 13 as a featured artist), 8 music videos (including 4 as a featured performer).

Contents

On December 15, 2015, Desiigner released his commercial debut single, titled "Panda" on SoundCloud, which later reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2016, the Brooklyn rapper signed a recording contract with Kanye West's GOOD Music, under the aegis of Def Jam Recordings.

American rapper Macklemore has released three studio albums and two mixtapes as a solo artist. The origin of the name Macklemore is from when Haggerty attended Nathan Hale High School and was required to invent a superhero for an art project. At the beginning of his musical career, he recorded an EP titled Open Your Eyes in 2000 under the name Professor Macklemore, which he distributed himself. This initial work of his was also considered a mixtape, as some of the songs on this EP were written separately. His only official mixtape, The Unplanned Mixtape, released in 2009, consisted of ten songs. Macklemore dropped "Professor" from his name, and released his first official full-length album, The Language of My World in January 2005. He appeared as a featured artist on The Physics' song "Good" in 2009. In 2008, 2009, and 2011, Macklemore performed at Bumbershoot, a major arts and music festival in Seattle. In 2009 he released The Unplanned Mixtape, which reached No. 7 on iTunes. Macklemore's debut single "The Town" was released from The Unplanned Mixtape and later remixed by Sabzi of the Blue Scholars. Puth released his second studio album Voicenotes on May 11, 2018, supported by the singles "Attention", "How Long", "Done for Me", "Change", and "The Way I Am". "Panda" is the debut single by American rapper Desiigner. The song premiered in December 2015 and was released for digital download on the iTunes Store as a single, before being re-released on February 26, 2016. The song was written by Desiigner and the track's producer was Menace. "Panda" was heavily sampled by GOOD Music labelmate and founder Kanye West for "Pt. 2", a song on West's seventh studio album The Life of Pablo, and inspired a number of remixes. The single received a nomination for Best Rap Performance at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. A music video was released on May 10, 2016. It was nominated for Best Hip Hop Video at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.

The official remix of the song, which features vocals and production from Kanye West as well as additional production from Nana Kwabena Tuffuor and Noah Goldstein, was also commercially released on October 14, 2016. The song was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in December 2016, for earning a million equivalent units in the United States.
