Dexter Roberts (born July 12, 1991) [1] is an American singer and songwriter who first came to prominence in 2014 as the seventh place finalist on the thirteenth season of American Idol . [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] In 2019, he placed third on the sixteenth season of The Voice . In between his appearances on American Idol and The Voice, he released two EPs.
Roberts performed "Drive" for his audition for American Idol , and for the group round he was part of the group Backstreet Cowboys together with Casey Thrasher and fellow finalist Ben Briley, performing the song "I Want It That Way". For the final solo he performed an original song, "Farmer's Grandson".

Roberts, as a finalist, joined the American Idols LIVE! Tour 2014 after the show. However, he left the tour after a few shows by mutual agreement due to the illness. [7] He had contracted Rocky Mountain spotted fever due to tick bites during a turkey hunt in Kentucky that he attended soon after the thirteenth-season finale. [8]
Roberts was a contestant on the sixteenth season of The Voice [9] on Blake Shelton’s team. He earned four chairs in the blind auditions from celebrity coaches Shelton, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend. He made it to the finale and finished in third place.

Roberts signed with First Launch Records and released his first single, "Dream About Me," on March 12, 2015. [10] He released a debut EP by the same title on March 24, 2015. The inaugural season premiered April 26, 2011 and ended on June 29, 2011 on the live finale.

"Home" is the debut single and coronation song from American Idol season 11 winner Phillip Phillips. The song was co-written by Drew Pearson and Greg Holden, and produced by Drew Pearson. Phillips first performed the song on the season's final performance night on May 22, 2012, and then again on the finale after he was declared the winner. His recording of "Home" was released as a single on May 23, 2012 and included as a track on the compilations American Idol Season Finale - Season 11 EP and Journey to the Finale released at the same time. The song was also included on his debut album, The World from the Side of the Moon, released later in November that year.

Curtis "CJ" Harris was an American singer and songwriter from Jasper, Alabama, who finished in sixth place on the thirteenth season of American Idol in 2014. His first and only single, "In Love", was released in 2019. Before appearing on American Idol, he self-released the album Small Town Boy.
Jessica Rose Meuse, also known as Jess Meuse, is an American singer-songwriter from Slapout, Alabama. After spending several years as an unsigned musician, she finished in fourth place on the thirteenth season of American Idol. Her debut album, What's So Hard About Bein' a Man, was self-released in 2011, three years before she gained national exposure on reality television. While competing on American Idol, she became the first person in the history of the series to perform an original song during the finals. Her second album, Halfhearted, was released on August 3, 2018, through Warrior Records.
Samuel Joseph Woolf is an American singer-songwriter from Bradenton, Florida, who finished in fifth place on the thirteenth season of American Idol. Shortly after his participation on the series, he released the EP Pretend, which reached the top ten on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. Since then, he has released several non-album singles and collaborated on several songs with The Como Brothers.
The American Idols Live! Tour 2014 was a concert tour that featured the Top 10 finalists of the thirteenth season of American Idol. The tour started on June 24, 2014, in Binghamton, New York and ended on August 23, 2014, in Redmond, Washington.
The fourteenth season of American Idol, also known as American Idol XIV, premiered on the Fox television network on January 7, 2015. Ryan Seacrest returned as host, while Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez, and Keith Urban returned as judges. Randy Jackson stepped down as the in-house mentor and was replaced by Scott Borchetta. Long-time sponsor Coca-Cola ended its relationship with the show.
The American Idols Live! Tour 2015 was a summer concert tour in the United States that featured the Top 5 finalists of the fourteenth season of American Idol. The tour began on July 7, 2015, in Clearwater, Florida and ended on August 28, 2015, in Riverside, California. Like the previous tour, the size of venues were smaller and for the first time the tour featured the Top 5 instead of the usual Top 10. After not having a live band for the 2014 tour, there was one for this tour. This was also the final Idol tour when the show aired on Fox as the 2016 tour was canceled. The tour was revived in 2018.

The sixteenth season of American Idol premiered on March 11, 2018, on the ABC television network. It was the show's first season to air on ABC, and after 15 years, Ryan Seacrest continued his role as host, while Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie joined the show as judges. Maddie Poppe won this season on May 21, 2018, while Caleb Lee Hutchinson was the runner-up, and Gabby Barrett finished in third place.
