The College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar (CETB) is a public engineering autonomous college under the state government in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, India. Established in 1981 by Dr. Baidyanath Misra, the then Vice-Chancellor of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology as a constituent college of OUAT. Students are admitted to the college through the Joint Entrance Examination (main) merit list of Government of India. The college is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and the Government of Odisha has considered granting unitary university status to the college.

College of Engineering Bhubaneswar (COEB) is a private institute located at Patia, Bhubaneswar in Odisha. The college was established in the year 1999 under the aegis of the Nabadigant Educational Trust and is a part of the Koustuv Group of Institutions. Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) is a state-government controlled centralised test for admission to many private and governmental medical, engineering & management institutions in Odisha. The test is taken after the 12th grade, diploma, graduate degree, postgraguate degree for admission to graduation of lateral entry in B.Tech, lateral entry in B.Arch, B.Pharm, BDS,, MBA, MCA, PDCM, PGDM, M.Pharm, and M.Tech courses. MBBS and B.Tech courses have been removed from OJEE after the announcement of All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and JEE (Main).
State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training is located in the city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. The board is managing the Diploma & ITI education in Orissa, which is affiliated to AICTE, New Delhi, recognized by Government of Odisha. The Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar is a state run higher education institute located in Keonjhar, Odisha, India, focusing on education and research in the field of Mining Engineering. It was established in 1956 as a diploma institute. Degree streams were added in 1995. It was called Orissa School of Mining Engineering (OSME) and in 2012 it was renamed to its present name. It was a constituent college of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha till 21st January,2021 after which it became an self sustaning college.

The Parala Maharaja engineering College was approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Govt. of India and was affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Government of Odisha but now, it is an autonomous college from 21st January, 2021 along with GCE, Kalahandi and GCE, Keonjhar. This college is also accredited as "B+" by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) New Delhi, Govt. of India.
The Orissa(Odisha) School of Engineering(OSME ,KEONJHAR) is a state govt. run higher education institute started in the year of 1956 for focusing on the education & research of Mining Engineering. Subsequently, the institute introduced engineering diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Drilling Engineering & Metallurgical Engineering. Also it introduced a degree engineering course in the year of 1995. But in the year of 2012 it was separated from it & renamed as Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar.

The Government Polytechnic, Balasore is a State Government run diploma engineering school. It is established in 2013 by the Directorate of Technical Education & Vocational Training(DTET), Orissa. It started with all the new Government Polytechnics in Orissa at a time.
The Jharsuguda Engineering School(JES), Jharsuguda is a state government run diploma engineering school established in 1955 by Government of Odisha. Currently the institution is affiliated to SCTE & VT & DTET of Orissa. It gives three year diploma courses in variety of branches of engineering. It also obeys the norms of AICTE.

Uma Charan Pattnaik Engineering School (UCPES) previously known as Berhampur Engineering School, named after the great freedom fighter and eminent parliamentarian Late Uma Charan Patnaik, was established in the year 1956. It is located in the Silk-city, at a distance of five km from the Railway Station and three km from the Bus-stand. The Industries Department, Government of Orissa, took over this institution for better management from private committee on 12 November 1958. This institution is affiliated to the State Council for Technical Education and Vocation Training (SCTE&VT) Orissa, Bhubaneswar and is under the administrative control of Director of Technical Education and training Orissa, Cuttack which comes under the Industries Department, Government of Orissa. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts competitive examinations and counsellings every year for admissions in various courses of Medical, Engineering and Agricultural streams in the Institutions of Bihar. It is constituted under Bihar Acts, 1995. Office of the board is situated in IAS Association Building, Patna.
The Government Polytechnic, Bhadrak is a State Government run diploma engineering school. It is established in 2017 by the Directorate of Technical Education & Training, Odisha (DTET).
