Mickey Mouse Toddler, Mickey Mouse Preschool, and Mickey Mouse Kindergarten are three sister educational video games by Disney Interactive. They are part of the Disney Learning Series, alongside similar Winnie the Pooh games, Mathquest With Aladdin, Reading Quest with Aladdin, Adventures in Typing with Timon and Pumbaa, Buzz Lightyear 1st and 2nd Grade, The Jungle Book 1st and 2nd Grade, Ready for Marth with Pooh, Phonics Quest, Search for the Secret Keys and Ready to Read with Pooh . Although not part of the series, the games Beauty and The Beast: Magical Ballroom and Ariel's Story Studio were frequently sold with the other games in promotional packages and advertised alongside them in trailers and commercials.

Commercial performance

The three games entered the charts around late 2000, with Kindergarten achieving #1 in the week of September 17–23. [1] In the month of February 2001, Preschool and Kindergarten, and Toddler were the 3rd, 4th, and 6th Top Selling Home Education Software, respectively, according to PC Data. [2] In the month of April 2001, they were the 1st, 2nd, and 5th top-selling in this category. [3] Preschool was the 8th Top Selling Home Education Software title of 6–12 May and the 9th of May 13–19, 2001. [4]

Critical reception

Toddler

Superkids deemed the program "adorable" and "irresistible", noting its appeal to parents. [5] DiscoverySchool wrote that the "colors are vibrant and screens are warm and detailed". [6] ReviewCorner said the game had less content than other toddler games, but that it was easier to use. [7] 7 Wolf thought the game was "unpretentious", and praised its "pleasant music, beautiful and stylish image". [8]

Preschool

Superkids said the game offered a "pleasant romp", while negatively comparing it to Kindergarten. [9] Edutaining Kids described the graphics as "stunning", though questioned the game's replay value. [10]

Kindergarten

SuperKids said the game was "enjoyable" and featured a cast of familiar characters. [11]

Minnie's Bow-Toons is an American animated preschool television series from Disney Television Animation. The series aired from November 14, 2011, to January 22, 2016, on Disney Junior, as a short-form series targeted at preschool girls, as well as the spin-off from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The series is based on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episode "Minnie's Bow-tique". In both the episode and its spin-off, Minnie opens the same boutique from the former - this time with bows and bow-ties.

They have the same plots as their respective films, though abridged due to the limited medium.

Early Learning House or simply the House Series is a collection of four main educational video games and two compilations for the Windows and Macintosh platforms, developed by Theatrix Interactive, Inc. and published by Edmark software. Each different game focuses on a particular major learning category with selectable skill settings for preschooler, kindergarten and elementary learners. Millie's Math House (1992) on mathematics, Bailey's Book House (1993) on language, Sammy's Science House (1994) on science, and Trudy's Time and Place House (1995) on history and geography. A spin-off, Stanley's Sticker Stories (1996), sees players create animated storybooks with the series' characters. The Arthur video games franchise was a series of learning and interactive story video games based on the American-Canadian children's TV show Arthur. The games were released in the 1990s and 2000s for PlayStation and Windows and Mac OS computers.

Several video games based upon Blue's Clues, a children's educational television series by Nickelodeon, have been released, educational video games and web browser games based on the show. Most of the PC CD ROM-format titles were developed and published by Humongous Entertainment.
