Donald Eck (born November 30, 1961) is a former American football coach. Until November 2021, he was the offensive coordinator at Clearfield High School in Clearfield, Utah, a position he held since the summer of 2020. Eck previously spent 28 years as an assistant coach at the collegiate and professional levels, including stints as offensive coordinator of the Berlin Thunder and Rhein Fire in NFL Europe. Eck was the original head coach at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah. In 2021, he was fired from his coaching position at Clearfield High School over a harassing voicemail he left one of his players. [1]
Eck played as center for Utah from 1980 to 1982. He was voted Utah's Most Valuable Lineman all three years. He made the all-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) second team in both 1981 and 1982. Eck was team captain as a senior in 1982.
Eck began his coaching career as student assistant at Utah in 1983. After a one-year stint as assistant coach at Woods Cross High School (Utah) he returned to his alma mater in 1985, where he served two seasons as a graduate assistant before becoming the offensive line coach (1987–1989).
In 1990, Eck coached the centers and guards for Arizona’s Aloha Bowl team. From there, he went to James Madison as offensive line coach. The Dukes’ 1991 team finished 12th in the nation in total offense. He was promoted to assistant head coach/offensive line coach prior to the 1992 season.
Eck’s third coaching stint in Salt Lake City began in 1994, when he was added to Ron McBride’s Utah staff as offensive line coach. Also won the headman in 1987.
After leaving Utah, Eck spent five seasons in NFL Europe. He was the offensive line coach for the Scottish Claymores (2003) and served as offensive coordinator/offensive line coach for the Berlin Thunder (2004–2006) and Rhein Fire (2007).
Eck returned to college football in 2008 as the offensive line coach at Weber State. In January 2009, he was promoted to assistant head coach and offensive coordinator, [2] but left WSU at the beginning of spring workouts to join the Las Vegas franchise of the United Football League.
In the summer of 2020, Eck took the job as the offensive coordinator at Clearfield High School in Clearfield Utah, coaching under former NFL player and Clearfield Alumni Andre Dyson. Eck was fired from this position on Nov 23, 2021, for leaving a harassing voicemail on a student’s phone, which included, in part, "Hey, give me a call when you can. I want to meet with your parents, man, ’cause I keep hearing your mom’s putting all sorts of (expletive) on social media talking (expletive) about the coaches here and I’m gonna put a stop to that, bro." The Hamburg Sea Devils were an American football team that played in NFL Europe from 2005 to 2007. They played their home games at Hamburg's Volksparkstadion. They played their first game on 2 April 2005 losing 24–23 to the Cologne Centurions. The Sea Devils' first win came in Week 3 of the 2005 season, with a 31–24 home victory over the then-struggling Rhein Fire.

He was offensive coordinator of other NFL teams, and as head coach, general manager, and president of the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League.
Joshua Kenneth Heupel is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at the University of Tennessee. Heupel was the architect of a unit that ranked in the FBS top 10 in points per game in each of his three seasons as the head coach at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2020 (42.2), fifth in 2019 (43.4) and sixth in 2018 (43.2). The Knights also ranked in the top five in the FBS in total offense per game in each of those three seasons—second in 2020 (568.1), second in 2019 (540.5) and fourth in 2018 (522.7).
Kenneth Paul Karcher is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head football coach at East Central Community College, a position he has held since January 2013. Karcher served in the same capacity at Liberty University from 2000 to 2005, compiling a record of 21–46.
Marcus Crandell is a former professional Canadian football quarterback and coach. He was most recently the offensive coordinator of the Saskatchewan Huskies of the University of Saskatchewan. He played 11 seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos, Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders from 1997 to 2008 while also spending time in NFL Europe and the XFL. Crandell was named the Grey Cup Most Valuable Player after the Stampeders won the 89th Grey Cup in 2001. He also won a Grey Cup championship with the Roughriders in 2007 as the team's backup quarterback.
Norman Yew Heen Chow is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL. He was the head football coach at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a position he held from December 2011 until November 2015 and previously held the offensive coordinator position for the Utah Utes, UCLA Bruins, the NFL's Tennessee Titans, USC Trojans, NC State Wolfpack, and BYU Cougars.
Mike Solari is an American football coach and former player. Solari has previously worked for five other NFL teams, including a stint as offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs from 2006 to 2007. He played collegiately as an offensive lineman at San Diego State University.

Steve Logan is an American football coach who was recently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Logan was also the head football coach at East Carolina University from 1992 to 2002, compiling a record of 69–58.

Michael Anthony Jones is an American former gridiron football player and coach. He played professionally as wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for seven season with five different teams: the Minnesota Vikings (1983–1985), New Orleans Saints (1986–1987), Kansas City Chiefs (1988), New England Patriots (1989), and New Orleans Saints (1989). Jones played college football at Tennessee State University and returned to his alma mater to serve as offensive coordinator from 2010 to 2014.

He previously served as the head coach of the Edmonton Football Team of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2020, the quarterbacks coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2017 to 2019 and the head coach of Toronto Argonauts from 2012 to 2016. Milanovich also served as an assistant coach for the Montreal Alouettes, Cologne Centurions and Rhein Fire.
James Andrew Tomsula is an American football coach and head coach of the Rhein Fire. Serving as a defensive coach throughout his career, Tomsula has also been the head coach for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe and the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL. Tomsula was born and raised in the Pittsburgh suburb of Homestead. Attending Catawba College, he played defensive end from 1987 to 1990, after transferring from Middle Tennessee State University after the 1986 season. At Catawba College, Tomsula made 109 tackles in two seasons.

Frank Maile is an American football coach who is currently the defensive line coach and assistant head coach at Boise State University. He served as the interim head coach for Utah State for their bowl game against North Texas in 2018, as well as in 2020 when Gary Andersen was fired.
