The Netherlands Women's Volleyball Eredevisie is the major volleyball competition, disputed in the Netherlands since 1947. It is organized by the Dutch Volleyball Federation (Nederlandse Volleybalbond, Nevobo) . [1] [2]

Competition formula

The 2021/22 League A championship consisted of a preliminary stage and a playoff. At the preliminary stage, the participating teams plays in a regular home and away tournament. The top 8 advanced to the playoffs. 13 teams played in League A in 2021/22: Talenttim-Papendal (Arnhem), Slieedrecht Sport (Sliedrecht), Apollo 8 (Borne), Regio-Zwolle (Zwolle), Sneek, Boleans (Utrecht), Laudamme (Capelle aan den IJssel), Pelpus (Meyel), Draisma-Dynamo (Apeldoorn), ARBO (Rotterdam), Airsped-Twente (Almelo), Voltena (Werkendam), Lammerink-Set-Ap'65 (Otmarsum). The championship title was won by Sliedrecht Sport for the Eight times in their history, beating up Apollo 8 in a final series 2-0 (3:0, 3:1). 3rd place went to "Regio Zwolle". [3]

The Israel women's national volleyball team participates in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. It is governed by the Israel Volleyball Association (IVA). As in any other sports, even though Israel is geographically located in Asia, it competes in European (CEV) competitions. Its best result so far was a fourth place, in the 2010 European League, in Turkey. On September 11, 2010, after losing the first leg of the repechage against Belarus side by 3:2, and beating them by 3:1 at home, the team qualified for the 2011 European Championship after thirty nine years of absence on this competition.

The 2013 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 28th edition of the European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. U Sports women's volleyball is the highest level of amateur play of indoor volleyball in Canada and operates under the auspices of U Sports. 41 teams from Canadian universities are divided into four athletic conferences, drawing from the four regional associations of U Sports: Canada West Universities Athletic Association (CW), Ontario University Athletics (OUA), Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), and Atlantic University Sport (AUS).
