E:60 is an American sports newsmagazine broadcast by ESPN. The series features investigative journalism, focusing upon news, issues, and other stories in sports.

Contents

In January 2017, after having had no consistent timeslot since its October 2007 debut, [1] it was announced that E:60 would be re-launched as a live, Sunday-morning program hosted by Bob Ley and Jeremy Schaap, beginning on May 14, 2017. It replaced The Sports Reporters and the Sunday edition of Ley's fellow program Outside the Lines . The revamped program shares a new studio with Outside the Lines, and features contributions from its staff. [2] [1]

Outside the Lines is an American sports news and analysis program that was broadcast by ESPN from 1990 to 2022. The series featured segments with discussions and investigative journalism surrounding prominent headlines and topics within sports.

The Sports Emmy Awards, or Sports Emmys, are part of the extensive range of Emmy Awards for artistic and technical merit for the American television industry. Bestowed by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), the Sports Emmys are presented in recognition of excellence in American sports television programming, including sports-related series, live coverage of sporting events, and best sports announcers. The awards ceremony, presenting Emmys from the previous calendar year, is usually held on a Spring Monday night, sometime in the last two weeks in April or the first week in May. The Sports Emmy Awards are all given away at one ceremony, unlike the Primetime Emmy Awards and the Daytime Emmy Awards, which hold a "Creative Arts" ceremony in which Emmys are given to behind-the-scenes personnel.

The award recipient is determined by confidential balloting of the Dick Schaap Selection Committee, which is composed of respected members of the media, and chaired by Dick's son, ESPN reporter Jeremy Schaap.
