East Zone cricket team (Bangladesh)

The East Zone cricket team or Islami Bank East Zone is a first class cricket team that represents eastern Bangladesh in the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL). It is a composite team of two Bangladeshi first-class teams: Chittagong Division and Sylhet Division. East Zone has played in the BCL from the opening 2012–13 season. [1]

In January 2018, they scored 735 runs for 6 wickets in their first innings against Central Zone in the 2017–18 Bangladesh Cricket League. This was the third-highest total in first-class cricket in Bangladesh and the second-highest total in the history of the Bangladesh Cricket League. [2]

The Bangladesh Cricket board is the governing body of cricket in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board first became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1977 and on June 26, 2000 became a Full Member. Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi cricketer, a right-handed batsman who represents Dhaka Division in first-class and list A cricket and Rajshahi Division in twenty20 matches. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Bangladesh in 2011 against Zimbabwe at Harare. He made his Test match debut against the West Indies in September 2014. He made his Twenty20 International debut for Bangladesh against Zimbabwe on 15 January 2016.

The South Zone cricket team or Prime Bank South Zone is a first-class cricket team that represents south-western Bangladesh in the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL). It is a composite team of two Bangladeshi first-class teams: Barisal Division and Khulna Division. South Zone has played in the BCL from the opening 2012–13 season and has won the BCL four times, the most by any team.

The North Zone cricket team is a first-class cricket team that represents northern Bangladesh in the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL). It is a composite team of two Bangladeshi first-class teams: Rajshahi Division and Rangpur Division. North Zone has played in the BCL from the opening 2012–13 season. It won the competition in 2016-17. It is owned by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

The Central Zone cricket team or Walton Central Zone is a first-class cricket team that represents central Bangladesh, this actually being the Dhaka Division, in the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL). It is a composite team of two Bangladeshi first-class teams from central Bangladesh: Dhaka Division and Dhaka Metropolis. Mosaddek Hossain Bangladeshi cricketer

Mosaddek Hossain Saikat is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays for the Bangladesh national cricket team and for Barisal Division in domestic cricket. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in January 2016.

2017–18 Bangladesh Cricket League Cricket tournament

The 2017–18 Bangladesh Cricket League was the sixth edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League, a first-class cricket competition. It was held in Bangladesh, starting on 6 January 2018 and concluding on 27 April 2018. North Zone were the defending champions.

The 2018–19 Bangladesh Cricket League was the seventh edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League, a first-class cricket competition. It was held in Bangladesh, starting on 21 November 2018 and concluding on 27 December 2018. South Zone were the defending champions. South Zone retained their title, after they beat North Zone by nine wickets in their final match.

The 2019–20 Bangladesh Cricket League was the eighth edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League, a first-class cricket competition. It was held in Bangladesh, running from 31 January to 24 February 2020. The tournament had a smaller set of fixtures than previous editions to accommodate the 2019–20 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, and was used as preparation for the first Test match against the Pakistan cricket team. South Zone were the defending champions.

2021–22 Bangladesh Cricket League Cricket tournament

The 2021–22 Bangladesh Cricket League or Bangabandhu Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) 2021-22 was the ninth edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL), a first-class cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh from 12 December 2021 to 6 January 2022. In March 2021, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the domestic cricket schedule from 2021 to 2023 and confirmed that the 9th BCL would be held in December 2021. South Zone were the defending champions. The tournament was followed by the 2021–22 Bangladesh Cricket League One Day.
