Eastside Football Club is a soccer club from Issaquah, Washington that fields boys' and girls' teams in the Elite Clubs National League and Washington State's Regional Club League. [1]


They formerly competed in the Northwest Division of USL League Two.

Eastside FC was founded in 1970 as a youth soccer club. [2] [3] In 2016, they became an affiliate club of Major League Soccer team Seattle Sounders FC. [4] After the 2019 USL League Two season, the Sounders decided to withdraw their U-23 team from the league, where they would be replaced by Eastside FC, who would use their own name and branding, rather than the Sound FC name. [5]

Jason Farrell is a former U.S. soccer midfielder who spent four seasons in Major League Soccer, two in the American Professional Soccer League, one in the A-League, three in the National Professional Soccer League and four in the USL First Division. He won two outdoor and one indoor championship and currently coaches youth soccer in the Seattle area.

Seattle has had professional soccer clubs for over four decades who have played in various leagues since the 1970s. These include three incarnations of the Seattle Sounders, playing in the North American Soccer League, United Soccer League, and Major League Soccer. The city is also home to OL Reign, originally known as Seattle Reign FC, which began in 2013 as a founding member of the National Women's Soccer League. Seattle has also hosted teams from the Continental Indoor Soccer League and the Major Arena Soccer League.

In 2020, OL Groupe, the parent company of French clubs Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, became the team's majority owner and rebranded to its current name, badge, and colors. Laura Harvey is the team's head coach; she led the team to two consecutive NWSL Shield wins in 2014 and 2015 and a third in 2022.
