The Egna Spring Trophy (formerly the Gardena Spring Trophy) is an annual international figure skating competition which is generally held every spring in Val Gardena in Italy. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, and pair skating. Since its inception in 1990, the event has included a junior-level competition. Novice categories were added in 2006 and senior categories in 2011. An ice dance competition, the Egna Dance Trophy, debuted in February 2018.

The Italian Ice Sports Federation, is the governing body for ice sports in Italy. It was founded in September 1926 to promote the practice of winter sports on ice and to coordinate events. The FISG is a member of a number of international sports organizations including the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the International Skating Union (ISU). The headquarter is in Milan.
The Italian Figure Skating Championships are a competition held annually to determine the national champions of Italy. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating.
Team Surprise was a senior synchronized skating team from Sweden. Established in 1985, they were the world's most successful team with six world championships and 12 medals in total, placing off podium only in 2010, 2011, and 2013-17.

Luc Maierhofer is an Austrian figure skater. He is the 2019 Golden Bear of Zagreb silver medalist and the 2022 Austrian national champion.
Gabriele Frangipani is an Italian figure skater. He is the 2019 Toruń Cup silver medalist, the 2020 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, four-time Italian national national medalist, and two-time Italian national junior champion.
Julia Wagret is a French ice dancer. With her former skating partner, Pierre Souquet-Basiège, she is the 2020 Winter Star silver medalist. With her former skating partner, Mathieu Couyras, she is the 2017 French junior national bronze medalist and a silver medalist in the team event at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics.
Alisa Stomakhina is a Russian-born figure skater who competes internationally for Austria. She is a two-time Austrian junior champion, and she competed at the 2018 World Championships.
The 2021 CS Lombardia Trophy Memorial Anna Grandolfi was held on September 10–12, 2021 in Bergamo, Italy. It was part of the 2021–22 ISU Challenger Series. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, and ice dance.
Marco Zandron is an Italian-Spanish figure skater who currently represents Spain. With his skating partner, Laura Barquero, he is the 2021 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist and the 2021 Spanish national champion.
