Elena Frumosu (born November 22, 1968) is a politician from Moldova. She has served as a member of the Parliament of Moldova since 2011. [1]

The Moldova women's national rugby sevens team represents Moldova in women's rugby sevens. They won the FIRA–AER Women's Sevens - Division A in 2010. In 2019 they won the Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Conference and, were promoted to the Trophy division and qualified for the Europe Women's Sevens Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Russia.

The Moldova women's national under-17 football team represents Moldova in international football at this age level and is controlled by the Moldovan Football Federation, the governing body for football in Moldova. The team is considered to be the feeder team for the senior Moldovan women's national football team. The team competes to qualify for the UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship held every year. Since the establishment of the Moldovan women's under-17 team, the under-17 side has never reached a final tournament of the UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship. Players born on or after 1 January 2007 are eligible for the 2024 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship qualification. They are currently coached by Elena Subbotina.

Bukovinian Romanian is a branch of the Romanian language spoken in Bukovina and which has influences of both Moldavian, Transylvanian, and Maramureș. It also features the presence of numerous German and Ruthenian loanwords which were introduced into the dialect while Bukovina was a province of the Austrian Empire (1774–1918). Due to the language policy promoted by the Austrian monarchy, several languages were spoken in Bukovina: Ukrainian, Romanian, Polish, German (Buchenländisch), and Yiddish. Today, the Bukovinian dialect is being replaced by the standard Romanian language, especially in the urban areas of southern Bukovina, while the language in northern Bukovina is being replaced by Ukrainian.

She was a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Protection, Health, and the Family. Previously, between 2011 and 2015, she was a councilor in the Chișinău Municipal Council.
