Elizabeth West was a northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia located within the City of Playford. It was established in 1955 as a satellite suburb to the Elizabeth town centre. In 1993, the northern part of Elizabeth West was merged with Elizabeth Field to form the new suburb of Davoren Park. [1] On October 27, 2011, the remaining portion of Elizabeth West, along with some land from Penfield to its west, was combined to create the new suburb of Edinburgh North. [2]
The northern part of Elizabeth West, located north of Womma Road, was primarily residential, while the southern area, now part of Edinburgh North, was mainly industrial. The suburb had convenient access to transportation through the Womma and Broadmeadows stations, which served the Gawler railway line.
The City of Playford is a local government area of South Australia in Adelaide's northern suburbs. It was named in recognition of Sir Thomas Playford, who played a part in the development of the area, and was South Australia's premier from 1938–1965. Edinburgh is an outer northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Salisbury. The suburb was created in 1997, on land straddling Penfield and Salisbury, that was compulsorily acquired by the Commonwealth Government in 1940 in order to manufacture munitions for the war effort during World War II, and later used for a number of defence-related establishments.
Taylor is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. This district is named after Doris Irene Taylor MBE, a leading force in the founding of Meals on Wheels, and Labor activist. Taylor is a 246.2 km2 semi-urban electorate in Adelaide's outer northern suburbs and market gardens on the Adelaide Northern plains. A large portion of the district lives in the western half of the City of Playford and it is regarded as a safe Labor seat. Playford International College is a high school in Elizabeth, a northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is an amalgamation of three secondary schools in Elizabeth: Playford High School, Fremont High School, and Elizabeth City High School.

The suburb was formed as part of a merger between Elizabeth Field and the northern part of Elizabeth West on 11 November 1993. It is named after the Davoren family, who were early pioneers of the area.

It is east of Main North Road, bounded by Main North Road, Uley Road, Adams Road, Yorktown Road and Garlick Road. The suburb contains two government primary schools and a local shopping centre. Craigmore High School is just outside the northern boundary, and a larger shopping centre on the other side of Main North Road. It also has a tavern with bars, bistro and bottle shop.

It is sandwiched between Main North Road to the east and the Gawler railway line to its west immediately north of Elizabeth and south of Smithfield. It is served by the Womma and Broadmeadows railway stations.
MacDonald Park is a northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Playford. It is north and west of a bend in the Max Fatchen Expressway, bounded by Curtis Road and Heaslip Road on the north and west sides.

Eyre is a suburb of Adelaide in the City of Playford. It was created on 31 October 2017 by cutting off the northeastern corner of what had been the suburb of Penfield. Its boundaries are Womma, Stebonheath and Petherton Roads on the south, east and north sides. The west follows Andrews Road north from Womma Road, but then extends west to the Northern Expressway.
Originally a private subdivision of sections 3114, 3125, 3118, 3108, 3138, 3140, 3147/8, 4063, 4064, 3240/1, 3244/5 & 3168/9. Portion taken in 1993 and renamed together with all of Elizabeth Field as Davoren Park. The whole of the suburb together with a portion of Penfield was renamed as Edinburgh North on 27/10/2011.
