Emil Melcher (29 October 1895 Karlsruhe, Germany – ?) was a German professional football player as forward and coach.
Emil Melcher played as a forward for some German football clubs such as 1. FC Pforzheim, Karlsruher FV and Alemannia Aachen. [1]
He was assistant of Reichs trainer Sepp Herberger in Germany national football team in 1936–42. In 1938 World Cup he was assistant trainer in Germany team. During World War I he leave Germany team and after the War Emil Melcher managed some German football clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt, Alemannia Aachen, Vfl Bochum, Bayer 04 Leverkusen. [2]
Alemannia Aachen or ATSV Alemannia 1900 is a German football club from the western city of Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia. A long term fixture of the country's second division, Alemannia enjoyed a three-year turn in the Bundesliga in the late 1960s and, after a successful 2005–06 campaign, returned to the first division for a single season. The club has since slipped to third division play and in late 2012 entered into bankruptcy. They finished their 2012–13 3. Liga schedule before resuming play in the tier IV Regionalliga West in 2013–14.
