Empire: Original Soundtrack Season 2 Volume 1 is the second soundtrack album by the cast of the musical drama television series Empire which airs on Fox. The album includes songs that featured during the second season of the show. It was released on November 20, 2015. [1]
The album debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200, [2] selling 22,000 copies in the first week. As of April 2016, the album has sold 114,000 copies in the US. [3]
AllMusic gave the album a score of three out of five, commenting that "much like the show itself, the quality of songs has become somewhat uneven" and that the album's standout track is "Boom Boom Boom Boom". [4] Entertainment Focus gave the album four out of five stars, based on the deluxe version of the album. They felt that eight bonus tracks were the best on the album. [5]

G-Funk Classics, Vol. 1 & 2 is the debut studio album by American singer Nate Dogg. Vol. 1 of the album was originally released through Death Row Records in January 1997, but was taken off the market a week after its release due to legal problems at Death Row Records. It was then rereleased as a two volume set by Breakaway Entertainment in the summer of 1998. The first volume was recorded during his tenure at Death Row Records, while the second volume was recorded after. The album only managed to make it to number 58 on the Billboard 200 and number 20 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The album did produce four singles with two top 40 singles, however, "Never Leave Me Alone", which was released on October 22, 1996, through Death Row Records and peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Melvin Lewis Calhoun Jr., better known by his stage name Kutt Calhoun, is an American rapper from Kansas City, Missouri. He began his career in the late 1990s as part of the city's underground rap scene, and signed with fellow Missouri-based rapper Tech N9ne's Strange Music as the label's first artist in 2004. Calhoun's debut studio album, B.L.E.V.E. (2004), and its follow-up, Feature Presentation (2008), were both met with critical praise; the latter debuted at number 60 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Calhoun's third album, Raw and Un-Kutt, entered the Billboard 200 and peaked at number 19 on the Top Heatseekers chart.
