Energy Standard are one of the four founding European teams for the International Swimming League. The team is based in Paris, France and trains out of the Gloria Sports Arena in Belek, Turkey. [1]

Contents

The team won each of their matches in the first season of ISL, starting with the first match in Indianapolis, USA then Naples, Italy. They continued their winning streak at the European Derby in London, GBR and took the inaugural championship title in the finale in Las Vegas, USA. [2]

2019 International Swimming League Season

Team Roster

ISL teams had a maximum roster of 32 athletes for 2019 season, with a suggested size of each club's traveling roster of 28 (14 men and 14 women). Each club had a captain and a vice-captain of different gender. Energy Standard had the most culturally diverse team of the league with athletes from 14 different countries representing the program.

In the 2019 (inaugural) ISL season, Energy Standard maintained an undefeated 4-0 record. Team co-captain, Sarah Sjöström was named season MVP after amassing 243.5 points. [4]

2020 International Swimming League Season

During the winter of 2020 Energy Standard announced various signees to their roster for the planned second ISL season, including Felipe Lima, [13] Pernille Blume, [14] Jeremy Desplanches, [15] Siobhan Haughey [16] and Zsuzsanna Jakabos. [17]

Pernille Blume Danish swimmer

Pernille Blume is a Danish swimmer who competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was the 2016 Summer Olympic champion in women's 50 m freestyle where she also won a bronze medal in the 4x100 medley relay. She then competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, where she won a bronze medal in the 50m freestyle.

Will Licon American swimmer

William Andrew Licon is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in breaststroke and medley events. He currently competes for the professional team LA Current in the International Swimming League. Licon is a two-time Pan American Games gold medalist and has been a member of the United States national team since 2015. He is the current American record-holder in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:47.91.

Siobhán Bernadette Haughey is a Hong Kong competitive swimmer.

Mary-Sophie Harvey is a Canadian swimmer. She competed in the women's 200 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. In September 2017, Harvey was named in Canada's team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. In June 2021, she qualified to represent Canada at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Kregor Zirk is an Estonian swimmer. He is 7-time long course and 26-time short course Estonian swimming champion. He has broken 42 Estonian records in swimming.

Kayla Noelle Sanchez is a Canadian swimmer. A member of the Canadian national team, she has represented Canada at the Olympic and World championship level, and is a two-time Olympic medalist. She is one of Canada's most prominent Filipina Canadian athletes.

International Swimming League Professional swimming league

The International Swimming League (ISL) is an annual professional swimming league, established in 2019. It features a team-based competition format with fast-paced race sessions. In 2019, the regular season started in October and the Final Match was held in December.

Toronto Titans Canadian swim team

Toronto Titans is one of the two new teams for the professional International Swimming League 2020 season, announced in December 2019, taking the total number of teams in the league to ten. Toronto Titans is based in Toronto, Ontario and trains out of the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre in Scarborough.

LA Current Swimming club in USA

The LA Current is a professional swimming club and one of the original eight clubs of the International Swimming League. The team is based in Los Angeles, CA led by general manager Lenny Krayzelburg and head coach David Marsh.

The Cali Condors are a professional swimming club and one of the original eight clubs of the International Swimming League. The team is based in San Francisco, CA led by general manager Jason Lezak and head coach Gregg Troy. Assistant Coaches for the 2019 Season were Dean Boxall, Jeff Julian, and Linda Kiefer.

DC Trident is a professional swimming team based in Washington, D.C. DC Trident competes in the International Swimming League (ISL), which is a global, professional swimming league consisting of ten teams: the DC Trident, the New York Breakers, the L.A. Current, the Cali Condors, the Aqua Centurions, Energy Standard, the London Roar, Team IRON, the Toronto Titans, and the Tokyo Frog Kings.

Team Iron Hungarian swimming team

Team Iron is a professional swimming team co-owned by Katinka Hosszú, and a founding member of the International Swimming League. The team is based in Budapest, Hungary, led by general manager Dorina Szekeres and head coach Jozsef Nagy.

New York Breakers US professional swimming club

NY Breakers is a professional swimming club and one of the original eight clubs of the global International Swimming League (ISL) based in New York led by general manager Tina Andrew and head coach Peter Andrew. The ISL is owned by Konstantin Grigorishin and had its inaugural season in 2019. The original eight clubs were: DC Trident, the New York Breakers, the L.A. Current, and the Cali Condors in the United States of America, and the Aqua Centurions, Energy Standard, the London Roar, and IRON in Europe. In 2020 ISL added the Toronto Titans (Canada) and a Tokyo team (Japan) for a total of ten teams.

Tristan Hollard Australian swimmer

Tristan Hollard is an Australian competitive swimmer who specializes in the backstroke events. He currently represents the DC Trident which is part of the International Swimming League.

London Roar is a professional swimming club based in London and one of the first clubs of the International Swimming League (ISL) to be formed. It was formed in March 2019, with an international roster of swimmers including Adam Peaty who was among the first to support the formation of ISL independent of FINA. It is run by its general manager Rob Woodhouse. London hosted the sixth of the seven meets in ISL's inaugural season in 2019. The team finished second in 2019 and third in 2020.

The Aqua Centurions is a professional swimming club and one of the original eight clubs of the International Swimming League. The team is based in Rome, IT led by General Manager Alessandra Guerra and Head Coach Matteo Giunta.

The 2021 International Swimming League is the third edition of the International Swimming League, a professional swimming league, established in 2019. It comprised ten teams composed of both women and men. The league, due to COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions, consisted of eleven short course swimming meets which took place in the city of Naples, Italy.

Bowe Becker is an American professional swimmer. He won an Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics as part of the 4x100-meter freestyle relay, swimming in the prelims and the final. He swims in the International Swimming League on the team Tokyo Frog Kings.
