The England Lions cricket team toured India in January and February 2024 to play the India A cricket team. [1] The tour consisted of the three first-class matches. [2] The series overlapped with the Test series between the senior sides. [3] In December 2023, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the fixtures for the tour, with all matches taking place at Ahmedabad. [4]

The India national cricket team toured England from 19 July to 8 September 2007. The tour included 3 Tests and 7 ODIs. During the Test series, the Pataudi Trophy, a prize commissioned by the MCC to commemorate the 118th anniversary of India's Test debut, was competed for. This was designed and created by Jocelyn Burton, Holborn, London.
The India national cricket team toured England in 2004 for a three-match series of One Day Internationals in preparation for the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy. England won the series 2–1, winning the first two matches before India won the final match at Lord's.
The Indian cricket team toured New Zealand from 25 February to 7 April 2009, playing a Test match series with New Zealand for the first time in five years. The tour included three Tests, five ODIs and two T20Is. New Zealand won both the T20Is. India won both the ODI series 3–1 and Test series 1–0.
Krishnakumar Dinesh Karthik is an Indian commentator and former professional cricketer and coach who played for the India national cricket team and is currently the batting coach for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. He was also the captain of the Tamil Nadu cricket team in domestic cricket. He made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2004. He was the 4th Indian batsman to play 300 T20 matches. Karthik was a member of the team that won both the inaugural 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Karthik is also the first Indian ever to win a Player of The Match award in a T20 International, having done so in 2006. Known for his six hitting ability, agressive batting style, longevity and ability to finish games strong, Karthik was viewed as a crutial asset in the IPL and the India national cricket team for almost two decades.
The 2014 Indian Premier League season was the seventh season of the Indian Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The tournament featured eight teams, one fewer than in 2013 after the withdrawal of the Pune Warriors India, and was held from 16 April 2014 to 1 June 2014. The opening ceremony was held in the UAE on 15 April 2014. Kolkata Knight Riders won the tournament, defeating Kings XI Punjab by 3 wickets with Manish Pandey declared the man of the match in the final. The average attendance for the tournament was 31,751.
The Australia national cricket team toured India in the 2004–05 season and played a four-match Test series, during October and November 2004, against India, Australia winning the series 2–1 with one match drawn, their first series win on Indian soil since their 1969-70 tour. The future Australian Test captain, Michael Clarke, made his Test debut in the first match, scoring 151 in the first innings. In the fourth match of the series, Clarke took 6 wickets for 9 runs in the second innings.
The England cricket team toured India from 30 October 2012 to 27 January 2013. The tour consisted of four Test matches, five One Day Internationals and two Twenty20 International matches. A three-day training camp was held from 26 to 28 October at the International Cricket Council Global Cricket Academy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before the tour. The England team returned to the United Kingdom after the Twenty20 series and returned in the new year for the One Day International series. During the intervening period, India hosted Pakistan for two T20Is and three ODIs. At the conclusion of the tour, the English team travelled to New Zealand.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the dates of the tour in July 2016. India last hosted a five-Test series in 1986–87 against Pakistan.
The Bangladesh cricket team toured India in February 2017 to play one Test match. It was the first time that Bangladesh toured India. Initially the tour was scheduled to take place in August 2016, but with other commitments made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said that the first week of February looked more likely. The date of the Test was confirmed in August 2016. In January 2017 the BCCI moved the date back by one day. The Decision Review System (DRS) was used in the Test match.
The India cricket team toured South Africa in January and February 2018 to play three Tests, six One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. In January 2017, Cricket South Africa (CSA) revealed that this tour would replace the scheduled visit by Sri Lanka due to costs and scheduling congestion. The Test series was played for the Freedom Trophy, with South Africa winning the trophy following victories in the first two Tests. South Africa went on to win the Test series 2–1. It was the first Test series of three matches or more in which all 40 wickets fell in each match of the series. With India's win the third Test, they retained the number one place in the ICC Test Championship, taking an unassailable lead before the April 2018 cut-off date for next season's rankings.
The New Zealand cricket team toured India in October and November 2017 to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The fixtures replaced the planned visit to India by Pakistan that was listed on the Future Tours Programme. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the full dates in September 2017. On 25 September 2017, New Zealand named the first nine players for the ODI squad. The remaining players for New Zealand's ODI and T20I squads were named on 14 October 2017.
The India A cricket team and the West Indies A cricket team played a List-A Tri-series and first-class matches in England between June and July 2018. Prior to Tri Series India A and West Indies A played warm up matches against County Clubs. India A won the tri series.
The England Lions cricket team toured India in January and February 2019 to play two first-class matches and five List-A matches against the India A cricket team. India A won the unofficial ODI series 4–1, and the unofficial Test series 1–0.
The 2020 season was the 13th season for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). They were one of the eight teams that competed in the 2020 Indian Premier League. The franchise previously qualified for the IPL playoffs in 2011 and won the tournament in 2012 and 2014. The team was captained by Eoin Morgan with Brendon McCullum as the new team coach. The team finished 5th and could not qualify for the playoffs.
The India cricket team toured Sri Lanka in July 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. All the matches took place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Originally, the tour was scheduled to take place in June 2020, but was moved back to August 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before being postponed. On 9 July 2021, following an outbreak of COVID-19 cases in the Sri Lankan camp, the series was postponed from 13 to 18 July.

The 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the thirteenth edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India. Played from 10 to 31 January 2021, it was contested by all 38 Ranji Trophy teams and won by Tamil Nadu, their second title.
