Contents

Premise

An adaptation of Jeff Lemire's graphic novel Essex County Trilogy , the series centres on two interconnected families in the Essex County region of Ontario. [2]

Lester is a young boy who moves in with his uncle Ken after his mother's death, turning to Jimmy, his biological father who has returned to Essex County; Anne is a nurse who is caring for her ailing uncle Lou. [3]

The series was written by Jeff Lemire and Eilis Kirwan. [3] It was shot principally in North Bay and West Nipissing, in fall 2022. [2] [5]

A first look trailer was released on February 21, 2023. The series premiered March 19, 2023 on CBC and CBC Gem [6]

Sweet Tooth is an American comic book limited series written and drawn by Canadian cartoonist Jeff Lemire and published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. Dubbed by some as "Mad Max meets Bambi", it takes place in a mostly rural post-apocalyptic setting where some creatures are human/animal hybrids. The original 40-issue series, of six sub-titled segments, ran from November 2009 to January 2013. A six-issue sequel, sub-titled The Return, ran from November 2020 to November 2021. A television series adaptation was released on Netflix in June 2021, with a second season released in April 2023.

Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost is a 2011 American made-for-television crime drama film directed by Dick Lowry and starring Tom Selleck, Kathy Baker, and Kohl Sudduth. Based on the characters from the Jesse Stone novels created by Robert B. Parker, the film is about the retired police chief of a small New England town who investigates the suspicious death of a young friend while the police force deals with the arrogant new police chief who is the son-in-law of a town councilman. Essex County Trilogy is a collection of three graphic short stories set in Essex County, Ontario by Jeff Lemire published in 2011 by Top Shelf Productions. The three short stories are "Tales from the Farm" (2008), "Ghost Stories" (2008), and "The Country Nurse" (2009). Two other shorter stories titled "The Essex County Boxing Club" and "The Sad and Lonely Life of Eddie Elephant Ears" are also included.

Trillium is a creator owned 8-issue comic series by Jeff Lemire, published by Vertigo Comics in 2013. Lemire's Sweet Tooth collaborator José Villarrubia is the colorist. Carlos M. Mangual is the letterer. The story is an inter-dimensional, time traveling love story between two explorers in two different time periods: William Pike, a World War I veteran on an expedition to the lost temples of the Incas in Peru in 1921, and Nika Temsmith, a botanist researching a strange flower on the outer-rim of colonized space in 3797. Separated by thousands of years, William and Nika's budding love threatens the fabric of the universe. Lemire stated that the work of Arthur C.
