The Ex-Service, Service and Veterans Party was a minor Australian political party that contested the 2004 federal election. It was deregistered on 20 June 2006. [1] National President Barry Minster was also candidate for Jagajaga.
Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served". The Malaysian Service Medal is a medal given by the King and Government of Malaysia. Established 3 March 2004, the medal recognizes service by members of the Malaysian Armed Forces during the Malayan Emergency, Second Malayan Emergency, and the Indonesia–Malaysia confrontation. The medal was also offered for award to members of the Commonwealth forces from Australia, Fiji, India, Nepal, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom who served in Malaysia during the Malayan Emergency and the Indonesia–Malaysia confrontation. The award is in recognition of "distinguished chivalry, gallantry, sacrifice, or loyalty" in contributing to the freedom of independence of Malaysia. Colin John Jamieson, AO JP, was a politician in Western Australia. A member of the Labor Party, he served as a member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 1953 until 1986, as the Minister for Works and Water Supplies in the Tonkin Ministry (1971–1974) and as Leader of the Opposition (1976–1978). Ron Davies succeeded him in the latter role. He was defeated by incumbent Liberal Premier Sir Charles Court at the state election of 1977.

The Defence and Ex-Services Party of Australia was a minor Australian political party operating from 1986 to 1989. Formally registered on 1 September 1986, its policies included greater investment in care for veterans, a stronger national defence system, and maintenance of high disability pensions. The party contested the 1987 federal election, running for the Senate in New South Wales, and also the 1988 New South Wales state election. It was voluntarily deregistered on 4 May 1989.
Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare is a department in the Ministry of Defence, India. It was set up in 2004. The head of Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare since its inception has been a bureaucrat from the IAS. Veteran have for long demanded that DEWS be headed by a serving officers or a retired officer, like in other countries, including the United States, in which the Department of Veterans, is invariably headed by veteran with active duty military experience, with a cabinet rank. For instance the current head of the department is graduate of West Point, and has served in the army.
