Exeter Rowing Club is a rowing club on the River Exe, based at Exe Water Sports Association, 62 Haven Road, Exeter, Devon. [1]

History

The club was formed in 1864 but has much earlier origins with its early connections to the Exeter Amateur Rowing Club, St Thomas Amateur Rowing Club and Port Royal Amateur Rowing Club. It caters for all age groups and has had major national success in recent years. [2]

The British Rowing Championships usually take place every year and are normally held at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierrepont (Nottingham), with occasional championships held at the Strathclyde Country Park. The championships originally incorporated Senior and Junior crews but since 2013 have been held separately. However, since 2018 the senior championships have not been held.
