Fabio Caponio (born 26 March 1999) is an Italian badminton player. [1] He plays for the Italian national team as well as the Italian Air Force.

Career

In 2016, he won the Ethiopia International tournament in the men's doubles event. [2] [3] In 2017, he won the Mauritius International tournament in the men's doubles event.

In 2022, Caponio teamed-up with Giovanni Toti won the bronze medal in the men's doubles at the 2022 Mediterranean Games. [4]

Zhang Nan is a retired Chinese badminton player who specializes in both men's and mixed doubles. He found much success in mixed doubles with his former partner Zhao Yunlei. They won gold in 2012 Summer Olympics, 3 golds in BWF World Championships in 2011, 2014 and 2015 and a gold at the 2014 Asian Games. Having won all major events as a pair, they are considered one of the most successful mixed doubles pairs of all time. Zhang Nan himself is considered to be one of the all-time greats of badminton.

They also won gold medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2019 European Games.

Marcus Ellis is a British badminton player. He was the men's doubles champion in the English National Championships. Ellis and Chris Langridge won a bronze medal in the men's doubles at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, also gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. At the 2019 Minsk European Games, Ellis captured two gold medals; in the men's doubles with Langridge and in the mixed doubles event with Lauren Smith.

Kim Astrup Sørensen is a Danish badminton player. He was the men's doubles gold medalists at the 2018 European Championships and the 2023 European Games with his partner Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. He also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2021 and later a silver medal in 2023. Astrup joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China, where he and his teammates beating Indonesia 3–2 in the final. Together with Rasmussen, he reached a career high of World number 5 in September 2018.

Ygor Coelho de Oliveira is a Brazilian badminton player. He won the Pan Am Junior Badminton Championships six times in the boys' singles and four times in the mixed doubles event with Lohaynny Vicente. Oliveira placed 27th in the world junior ranking and went on to compete at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. He won his first senior international title at the 2014 Puerto Rico International in the men's singles event. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and became the first Brazil's male Olympic badminton player. He clinched three gold medals at the 2018 South American Games in the men's singles, doubles, and team event. Coelho won a gold medal in the men's singles at the 2019 Lima Pan American Games.

Samuel Magee is a retired Irish badminton player. He won the 2009 European Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event at Milan, Italy with his partner Sylvain Grosjean of France. Sam Magee was a bronze medalists at the European Games in the mixed doubles event with his sister Chloe Magee in 2015 Baku and 2019 Minsk, also in the men's doubles with his brother Joshua Magee in 2015.

Lee Yang is a Taiwanese badminton player. He is the Olympic men's doubles champion, winning the title in 2020 and 2024. With his current partner Wang Chi-lin, they reached a career high as World number 2 in September 2022.

Enrico James is a South African badminton player. In 2011, he won the bronze medal at the All-Africa Games in the mixed doubles event partnered with Stacey Doubell. In 2012, he won the bronze and silver medal in the men's and mixed doubles respectively at the African Championships in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy is an Indian badminton player. He and his partner, Chirag Shetty, are the only doubles pair from India to become World No. 1 in BWF World Ranking, win BWF World Tour 1000 series, and became the first Indians to win a gold at the Asian games in badminton. Also, they became the 5th pair in men's doubles history to achieve 100000 points in the BWF ranking.

In 2016, he became the men's doubles runner-up at the Chile International tournament partnered with Bastián Lizama and the champion in the mixed doubles event with Camila Macaya. He also won two bronze medals at the 2016 Pan Am Badminton Championships in the men's singles and doubles event. He clinched three bronze medals at the 2018 South American Games in the men's doubles, mixed doubles and team event.

Katharina Fink is an Italian badminton player affiliated with SSV Bozen. She won the National Championships title in 2018. Fink clinched her first senior international title at the 2019 South Africa International in the women's doubles event partnered with Yasmine Hamza. Together with Hamza, they won the silver medal at the 2022 Mediterranean Games.

Yasmine Hamza is an Italian badminton player affiliated with SSVBozen. She won the National Championships title in 2019 and 2021. Hamza clinched her first senior international title at the 2019 South Africa International in the women's doubles event partnered with Katharina Fink. Together with Fink, they won the silver medal at the 2022 Mediterranean Games.
