Georges Julien Paul (born 7 January 1996) is a Mauritian badminton player. [1] Paul took part at the 2014 African Youth Games, and won three gold medals in the individual event. [2] He was part of the national team that won the gold medal at the 2015 African Games. Paul won the men's singles title at the 2018 and 2020 African Championships. [3] [4]
He competed at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. [5] [6] Paul won a gold medal in the men's doubles, a silver in the singles, and a bronze in the mixed doubles at the 2019 African Games. [7] [8] At the All Africa Senior Championships in 2024, held in Cairo Egypt, Paul clinched Silver medal in Men's Singles. [9]

Eileen Karen Lee Chin Foo Kune, born 29 May 1982 is a Mauritian badminton player and politician. She was the Mauritian sportswoman of the year in 2004 and 2009. She participated in badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics and made it to the Commonwealth Games in 2002, 2006, and 2010. In 2011, she won the bronze medals at the All-Africa Games in the women's doubles and mixed team event.
Christopher Phillip Langridge is a retired British badminton player. He competed for England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won three medals. He represented Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and won a bronze medal in the men's doubles, partnered with Marcus Ellis. She has been one of the top ranked women's individual and doubles player on the continent and a contender in major international competitions. Marcus Ellis is a British badminton player. He was the men's doubles champion in the English National Championships. Ellis and Chris Langridge won a bronze medal in the men's doubles at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, also gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. At the 2019 Minsk European Games, Ellis captured two gold medals; in the men's doubles with Langridge and in the mixed doubles event with Lauren Smith.
Kate Jessica Kim Lee Foo Kune is a badminton player from Mauritius. She began playing badminton in Mauritius at age six. Her first major tournament participation was 2013 BWF World Championships in China, where she lost in the first round of women's singles to Sarah Walker of England. Foo Kune represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was the flag bearer for Mauritius during the Parade of Nations.
Lucas Maurice Corvée is a French badminton player affiliated with Issy Les Moulineaux 92 club. Corvée started playing badminton at aged 6 in Alençon badminton club. His mother also a professional badminton player. He became a member of the France national badminton team in 2010, then in 2011, he won a bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in boys' doubles event. Abimbola Odejoke is a Nigerian badminton player. He won the silver medals in the men's doubles and mixed team event, also the bronze medal in mixed doubles event at the 2003 All-Africa Games. Odejoke then claimed the gold medal with the National team at the 2007 All-Africa Games.

Koceila Julien Mammeri is a badminton player who trained at the Oullins club in France. Born in France, he represents Algeria internationally. In the junior event, he was the third place at the Portugal International tournament in the boys' doubles event. He won gold medals at the 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 African Championships for men's doubles with his partner Youcef Sabri Medel, and in 2018 and 2019 for mixed doubles with Linda Mazri, and also in 2021 and 2022 for mixed doubles with Tanina Mammeri. He claimed the mixed doubles gold medals at the 2019 African Games with Mazri and in 2023 with Tanina Mammeri.
Amrita Sawaram is a Mauritian badminton player. She won the gold medal at the 2000 African Championships in the women's singles event, made her as the first Mauritian female to win that competition. Sawaram competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia in the women's singles and doubles event. Sawaram also represented her country in three consecutive Commonwealth Games in 1998, 2002, and 2006.
