Uriel Francisco Canjura Artiga (born 12 September 2000) is a Salvadoran badminton player. [3] [4]

Career

Canjura started playing badminton at an age of 9 where his stepfather Andrés Ardón, who was also a member of Salvadoran Badminton Federation, became his first coach. Initially he used to play soccer but later switched to badminton. Developing his skills in the sport, he went on to represent El Salvador at the 2018 Youth Olympics, where he was also chosen to be the flag bearer for his country. He studied general high school at the Agustina Charvin School in San Salvador and graduated in 2018. In his career so far, he has won international titles in El Salvador, Brazil and Suriname, besides winning a silver medal at the Pan American Championships in 2024. [5] He became the only representative from El Salvador at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the sport of Badminton. [6] [7]

Claudia Rivero Modenesi is a Peruvian badminton player. She won the bronze medal in the singles and mixed doubles category at the 2007 and the 2011 Pan American Games. Rodrigo Daniel Pacheco Carrillo is a Peruvian badminton player. Pacheco started playing badminton when he was 6 years old at the club Regatas Lima. He had made his debut at the Pan Am Junior Championships in 1996, and became the senior national team member in 2001. He was the bronze medalists at the Pan American Games, in the men's singles event in 2007, and also in the mixed doubles event in 2007 and 2011. In 2010, he won triple gold medals at the South American Games in the men's doubles, mixed doubles, and mixed team event. He competed for Peru at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Pacheco educated Sports management at the University College of Northern Denmark.

She was four times women's doubles Oceania champions from 2017 to 2020 with her partner Gronya Somerville, also two times champion in the mixed doubles event in 2017 and 2018 alongside Sawan Serasinghe.

Ygor Coelho de Oliveira is a Brazilian badminton player. He won the Pan Am Junior Badminton Championships six times in the boys' singles and four times in the mixed doubles event with Lohaynny Vicente. Oliveira placed 27th in the world junior ranking and went on to compete at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. He won his first senior international title at the 2014 Puerto Rico International in the men's singles event. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and became the first Brazil's male Olympic badminton player. He clinched three gold medals at the 2018 South American Games in the men's singles, doubles, and team event. Coelho won a gold medal in the men's singles at the 2019 Lima Pan American Games.

Thom Mark Gicquel is a French badminton player. Competing in the mixed doubles, he was able to reach the top 10 of the BWF world rankings with his partner Delphine Delrue. Job Castillo Galindo is a Mexican badminton player. He won the men's doubles title at the 2022 Pan Am Championships partnering Luis Montoya. He also claimed two bronze medals at the Pan American Games, in 2015 with Lino Muñoz, and in 2023 with Montoya.

Nikté Alejandra Sotomayor Ovando is a Guatemalan badminton player. She won the bronze medals at the 2019 Pan American Games in the women's singles, and at the 2021 Pan Am Championships in the women's doubles. Sotomayor will representing her country to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, as the first ever Guatemalan female badminton player to compete at the Olympic Games.

Josephine Yuenling Wu is a Canadian badminton player. She clinched three Pan American Games gold medals by winning the mixed doubles title in 2019 and 2023, and also the women's doubles title in 2023. At the Pan Am Championships, she won seven golds, and five silver medals since her debut at the tournament in 2016.

Katherine Winder Cochella is a Peruvian badminton player. She educated at the Universidad del Pacífico Lima, and in 2015, Winder competed at the Pan Am Games in the women's and mixed doubles event. In the women's doubles she placed 7th, while in the mixed doubles she won the bronze medal partnered with Mario Cuba. Luís Enrique Peñalver Pereira is a Spanish badminton player. The Toledo-born, represented Spain competed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. He was a part of the Spanish national junior team that won the gold medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the mixed team event. In 2017, he won his first senior title at the Romanian International tournament in the men's singles event.

Christo Popov is a French badminton player who affiliate with Fos club. He was the boys' doubles European U15 and U17 Junior Champions, also won the boys' singles silver medals at the 2018 European and 2019 World Junior Championships. He reached a career high as boys' singles World Junior number 1 in January 2020. He then clinched the boys' singles title at the 2020 European Junior Championships. In 2024, he became the first Frenchman to reach the semi-finals of the All England Open.
