The Family Values Tour 2006 is a live album released on December 26, 2006, by Firm Music, to commemorate the fourth iteration of the Family Values Tour, launched in 1998 by American nu metal band Korn. It is executive-produced by Peter Katsis and is the fourth and final Family Values record.

History

The CD features live tracks from headliners Korn and Deftones, as well as selected cuts from some of other bands on the bill: Stone Sour, Flyleaf, Dir en grey, 10 Years, and Deadsy. Bullets and Octane, Bury Your Dead, and Walls of Jericho are not featured on the compilation.

The album debuted at #102 on the Billboard 200 chart with only 14,300 units sold in its first week. [3]

The Family Values Tour was an annual rock and hip hop tour held by the American nu metal band Korn since 1998. The Family Values Tour happened again in 2001 before taking another hiatus, this time for four years. The Family Values Tour returned in 2006 with Korn and Deftones as the headliners. Another tour occurred in 2007, before taking another hiatus until 2013. In 2013 the event took place for the final time as a one-day music festival instead of the traditional tour under the name "Family Values Festival".

See You on the Other Side is the seventh studio album by American nu metal band Korn. It was released on December 6, 2005, by Virgin Records. It is their first album as a quartet after the departure of long-time guitarist Brian "Head" Welch and the last album with original drummer David Silveria before he had departed from the band in December 2006. The album was first certified gold in the United States on January 12, 2006; a subsequent platinum record certification was awarded on March 16, 2006. The album is best known for the involvement of renowned production team The Matrix, who had previously worked with pop acts like Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, and Shakira. The Matrix's direction gave Korn's music a different sound. The album features layout design and an original painting by the American surrealist/gothic painter David Stoupakis on the cover. Eleven more paintings by the artist appear as additional artwork on the deluxe special edition.

Alpine Valley Music Theatre is a 37,000-capacity amphitheater located on County Highway D in East Troy, Wisconsin. The seasonal venue was built in 1977 and it features a characteristic wooden roof, covering the 7,500-seat pavilion and a sprawling lawn. It was the largest amphitheater in the United States until 1993, when the Glen Helen Pavilion was built in California.

The album also includes documentary, backstage videos, and interviews with the band. The first 70,000 copies of Live on the Other Side contained a voucher that gave opportunity to be exchanged for two tickets for the 2006 edition of the Family Values Tour. The title Live on the Other Side, at the time, suggested that the band would play most of the songs from their album See You on the Other Side, but Korn only ended up playing four.

The untitled eighth studio album by American nu metal band Korn was released on July 31, 2007, by Virgin Records. It is the band's only studio release without an official drummer, released between the departure of David Silveria in 2006 and the arrival of Ray Luzier in late 2007. Vocalist Jonathan Davis hired drummers Terry Bozzio and Brooks Wackerman as session musicians. The album was intentionally released without a title, as Davis reasoned, "Why not just let our fans call it whatever they wanna call it?" The album was certified gold in the United States on October 30, 2007.
