Feigeana is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Roccellaceae. [1] A monotypic genus, it contains the single species Feigeana socotrana, first reported from Yemen in 1995. [2]
The genus name of Feigeana is in honour of Guido Benno Feige (1937 - 2007), a German botanist (Lichenology and Mycology) and also Professor of Botany in Essen. He also established the Botanical Garden of the University of Duisburg-Essen. [3]
The genus was circumscribed by Bruno A. Mies, Helge Thorsten Lumbsch and Anders Gunnar Tehler in Mycotaxon Vol.54 on page 156 in 1995.
The Roccellaceae are a family of mostly lichen-forming fungi in the order Arthoniales, circumscribed by the French botanist François Fulgis Chevallier in 1826. Species in the family exhibit various growth forms, including crustose and fruticose thalli, and diverse reproductive structures. Roccellaceae species typically have apotheciate or lirellate ascomata, often with distinct blackened margins. Molecular phylogenetics studies have revealed significant genetic diversity and complex evolutionary histories within the family.

Topeliopsis is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Graphidaceae.
Korfia is a genus of fungi in the family Hemiphacidiaceae. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Korfia tsugae.
Gorgadesia is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Roccellaceae. A monotypic genus, it contains the single species Gorgadesia mira.
Follmanniella is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Roccellaceae. A monotypic genus, it contains the single species Follmanniella scutellata.
Sigridea is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Roccellaceae.
Simonyella is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Roccellaceae. A monotypic genus, it contains the single species Simonyella variegataJ. Steiner (1902).
Streimannia is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Roccellaceae. A monotypic genus, it contains the single species Streimannia varieseptata. The genus was circumscribed by Göran Thor in Opera Bot. vol.103 on page 84 in 1990.
Marcelleina is a genus of fungi within the Pezizaceae family. The genus was circumscribed in 1967.
The Lahmiales are an order of fungi in the Ascomycota, or sac fungi. The order has not been assigned to any class. The taxon is monotypic and contains a single family, the Lahmiaceae, which in turn contains the single genus Lahmia.
Topelia is a genus of fungi within the family Stictidaceae.

Poeltidea is a genus of lichenized fungi within the family Lecideaceae. It contains two species: Poeltidea perusta and Poeltidea inspersa.
Poeltinula is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Rhizocarpaceae.
Kuehniella is a genus of fungi within the Onygenaceae family.
Sipmania is a genus of lichenized fungi within the order Arthoniales. The genus has been placed into the family Roccellaceae. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Sipmania peltata.
Helge Thorsten Lumbsch is a German-born lichenologist living in the United States. His research interests include the phylogeny, taxonomy, and phylogeography of lichen-forming fungi; lichen diversity; lichen chemistry and chemotaxonomy. He is the Associate Curator and Head of Cryptogams and Chair of the Department of Botany at the Field Museum of Natural History.
Henricus (Harrie) Johannes Maria Sipman is a retired Dutch lichenologist who specialised in tropical and subtropical lichens and authored or co-authored over 250 scientific publications. He was the curator of the lichen herbarium at the Berlin Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum from 1983 until his retirement in 2010. Between 1990 and 1997 he edited and distributed the exsiccata Lichenotheca Latinoamericana a museo botanico Berolinensi edita.
Guido Benno Feige was a German lichenologist and botanist known for his contributions to lichen secondary chemistry, taxonomy, and floristics. He was a highly regarded educator and researcher, with a legacy that includes the foundation of a botanical garden and a lichen herbarium. In honour of his academic excellence and contributions to the field of lichenology, a new genus and two species were named after him.
