Film Magazine was a film weekly news magazine published in Malayalam language from Kerala, India. It was printed at Thiruvananthapuram and distributed throughout Kerala by Kalakaumudi Publications Private Limited. Although the magazine had connections to Kerala Kaumudi newspaper, it was an independent company. It highlighted the doings and happenings of the Mollywood film scene. It was one of the most popular entertainment magazine in Malayalam, but Kalakaumudi discontinued it and launched Vellinakshatram .

Kerala Kaumudi is a Malayalam language daily newspaper published from Kerala, India. It was founded in 1911 by C. V. Kunhiraman. His son K. Sukumaran later served as the newspaper's editor and transformed it into a vibrant daily. Kerala Kaumudi Daily is among the largest circulated newspapers in Malayalam with 9 editions in Trivandrum, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur besides being circulated in the UAE.

It is printed in Thiruvananthapuram and distributed throughout Kerala by Kalakaumudi Publications Pvt. Ltd. Kalakaumudi was launched in 1975 by M. S. Mani, the eldest son of K. Sukumaran, founder-editor of Kerala Kaumudi Daily. Kalakaumudi was a by-product of the emergency-call by late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1975. The publication zoomed to fame by its sharply worded editorials, socio-political write-ups, in-depth reporting, election analysis, etc.

Although the magazine has leniages with Kerala Kaumudi news paper, it is an independent company. It highlights the doings and happenings of the Mollywood film scene. It is one of the most popular entertainment magazine in Malayalam, it is read by the overseas Indian community worldwide. The group discontinued the much acclaimed Film Magazine and launched Vellinakshatram.

Namboothiri (artist) Indian artist

Karuvattu Mana Vasudevan Namboothiri, better known as Artist Namboodiri, is an Indian painter and sculptor, known for his line art and copper relief works. He has done illustrations for many Malayalam writers such as Thakazhy Shivasankara Pillai, Kesavadev, M. T. Vasudevan Nair, Uroob, S. K. Pottekkatt, Edasseri Govindan Nair, and V.K.N. and is reported to be one of the most prolific literary illustrators in the world. He is a former chairman of the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi. The Akademi awarded him the Raja Ravi Varma Award in 2003. He is also a recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Art Director.

Mullamangalath Parameshwaran Bhattathiripad, commonly known as M. P. Bhatathirippad or Premji, was a social reformer, cultural leader and actor from Kerala state, India. Premji joined Yogakshema Sabha and worked with V. T. Bhattathiripad, E. M. S. Namboodiripad and his brother M. R. Bhattathiripad in the fight against the casteism and conservatism that existed in the Nambudiri community. Premji was also a noted stage and film actor who won the National Film Award for Best Actor for the film Piravi.

T. N. Gopakumar Indian journalist

T. N. Gopakumar was an Indian journalist. He was the news editor in chief of Asianet News. Gopakumar was also the producer and anchorperson of the popular weekly programme Kannadi on Asianet.

K. Velappan was a Malayalam journalist and film critic.

N.K.Damodaran (1909–1996) was a writer and translator of Kerala, India. He was born on 3 August 1909 in Aranmula in Pathanamthitta district in Kerala. After taking B.A.B.L. he joined government service as Accounts Officer and later worked in SPCS. He has also worked as Sub editor in Sarvavijnana kosam and as Editor in Kalakaumudi weekly. He has published more than 20 books.He got Kalyani Krishna Menon Prize in 1967 and Sovietland Nehru award in 1974. His prime contribution was in the area of translation and he was the first to translate Fyodor Dostoyevsky's novels into Malayalam.

Sufi Paranja Katha is the debut novel of Malayalam novelist K. P. Ramanunni. It was originally serialised in Kalakaumudi in 1989 and published as a book in 1993. The novel has been translated into eight languages, including English and French. Priyanandanan adapted the novel into a film of the same name in 2010. K. P. Ramanunni himself wrote the dialogue and script of the film.

His first novel Sufi Paranja Katha won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1995 and the novel Daivathinte Pusthakam won the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award in 2017. Jeevithathinte Pusthakam won the 2011 Vayalar Award.

Madhu Vasudevan is an Indian author, lyricist and music critic who writes predominantly in Malayalam, English and Hindi. He was honored in 64th Filmfare Awards South and 61st Filmfare Awards South for Best Lyricist. His songs from the movie Jalam were shortlisted for Oscar Award 2016 for original song category.
