Finn Bennett (born 1999) is an Irish-British actor best known for playing Officer Peter Prior in True Detective: Night Country (2024). [1] [2] [3]

Life and career

Finn Bennett was born in 1999, the son of Ronan Bennett, an Irish novelist and screenwriter, and Georgina Henry, a British journalist. [4] He attended school in London, and on Saturdays went to drama school at Stagecoach Performing Arts in Islington. [3] Instead of going on to university studies, he had various jobs until booking Domina. [5]

In September 2022, Bennett was cast as Peter Prior on the fourth season of the HBO anthology series True Detective , subtitled Night Country, [6] which premiered on 14 January 2024. [7] In March 2024, he was cast on the Netflix television series Black Doves and in Alex Garland's film Warfare . [8] [9] On 18 June 2024, it was confirmed that Bennett would join the cast of A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms as Aerion Targaryen. [10]
