Jackson Ward, previously known as Central Wards, is a historically African-American district in Richmond, Virginia, with a long tradition of African-American businesses. It is located less than a mile from the Virginia State Capitol, sitting to the west of Court End and north of Broad Street. It was listed as a National Historic Landmark District in 1978. "Jackson Ward" was originally the name of the area's political district within the city, or ward, from 1871 to 1905, yet has remained in use long after losing its original meaning.
Cathedral Parish School, also known as Wheeling Catholic Elementary and Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston Chancery, was a historic elementary school building located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. It was built in 1896–1897, to service the St. Joseph Cathedral parish. A gymnasium addition was built in 1939. It is a three-story brick building, with an elevated first floor. It sits on a sandstone base. It features a center square tower with a pyramidal roof and Late Gothic Revival details.

El Paso High School is the oldest operating high school in El Paso, Texas, and is part of the El Paso Independent School District. It serves the west-central section of the city, roughly south and west of the Franklin Mountains and north of Interstate 10 to the vicinity of Executive Center Boulevard. It is fed by Wiggs Middle School, into which the three elementary schools in its feeder pattern, Lamar, Mesita, and Vilas, graduate.
Charles Morrison Robinson, most commonly known as Charles M. Robinson, was an American architect. He worked in Altoona and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1889 to 1906 and in Richmond, Virginia from 1906 until the time of his death in 1932. He is most remembered as a prolific designer of educational buildings in Virginia, including public schools in Richmond and throughout Virginia, and university buildings for James Madison University, College of William and Mary, Radford University, Virginia State University, University of Mary Washington, and the University of Richmond. He was also the public school architect of the Richmond Public Schools from 1910 to 1929. Many of his works have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Hyde School is a historic Romanesque Revival school at 130 High Street in Lee, Massachusetts. The school was built in 1894 from locally quarried marble. It is named for Alexander Hyde, who established the town's first school in his house on West Park Street, and was built on the site of the town's first public school.
The Masonic Temple—Watts, Ritter, Wholesale Drygoods Company Building in Huntington, West Virginia, which has also been historically known as Watts, Ritter Wholesale Drygoods Company Building and more recently known as River Tower, is a commercial building. It is located at 1108 Third Avenue, in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. It was built between 1914 and 1922 as a five-story brick building.
The South School is a historic school building at 362 South Main Street in Torrington, Connecticut. It is a Beaux Arts architecture building, designed by Wilson Potter and completed in 1915. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It is significant as a well-preserved example of the work of Potter, a New York City-based designer of schools throughout the Northeastern United States, and as a prototype for other schools built in Torrington. The building has been renovated for use as residential apartments. In 2010, a sign describes it as "South School Garden View Apartments".

It consists of the original 1910 school building with two historic additions from 1939 and 1952, and the 1983 gymnasium building. It is a two-story, red brick, Romanesque Revival building on a raised basement and water table of ashlar sandstone. The 1939 rear addition was built as a Public Works Administration project and has plain Art Deco style trim The 1939 addition contains a stage and an auditorium / cafeteria.
Second Ward Negro Elementary School, also known as the Second Ward Annex, is a historic school building located at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built in 1938–1939, and is a one-story, plus basement, "T"-shaped brick building in the Art Deco style. It sits on a sandstone foundation. Funds for the building's construction were provided by the Works Progress Administration. It functioned as a school for African American students and a community center until the end of segregation in 1954. The building reopened as a school annex and Instructional Materials Center in the 1960s, but ceased being used as a school in 1993.

Built in 1909, it is a fine local example of vernacular Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, designed by one of the city's most prominent architects of the period. It was used as a school until the end of 1968, and now houses apartments. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
