The First ministry of Yogi Adityanath is the council of ministers in 17th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath since 19 March 2017. As per the Constitution of India, the Uttar Pradesh Council of Ministers, including the Chief Minister, can have maximum 60 members.

There were 57 Ministers Including the Chief Minister, 22 were cabinet ministers, 8 were state ministers with Independent charge and 27 were State ministers. Out of the 57 ministers, 56 were from the BJP while AD(S) was having 1 minister.

Tenure

Since 2017 chief minister Adityanath had ordered the closing of many slaughterhouses. As a direct consequence, the tanneries that sourced raw leather from the slaughter houses were impacted. Several tanneries were also ordered to be shut down. The tannery industry was estimated to worth 50,0000 crore ₹ in 2017. The industry directly or indirectly gave employment to more than 10 lakh people. Since 2018, through executive orders, CM Adityanath had closed around 200 tanneries out of a total of more than 400 that were active in Jajamau, Kanpur. [1]

Yogi Adityanath is an Indian Hindu monk and politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party who is serving as the 21st and current Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh since 19 March 2017. The Government of Uttar Pradesh is the subnational government of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh with the governor as its appointed constitutional head of the state by the President of India. The governor remains a ceremonial head of the state, while the chief minister and their council are responsible for day-to-day government functions.

Keshav Prasad Maurya is an Indian politician, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Maurya was associated with a right-wing Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, before entering active politics through BJP. He was also involved in cow protectionism in his early life. Before 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, he was made state president of the BJP, and after the victory of BJP, he was appointed as Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in the first Yogi Adityanath Government. Upendra Tiwari is an Indian politician and Minister of State, of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Tiwari is a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Phephana Vidhan Sabha constituency in Ballia district. He defeated a big leader of UP Ambika Chaudhari BSP. He was a student at the University of Allahabad.

Jai Pratap Singh is an Indian politician serving as the Minister of Medical and Health, Family Welfare, Mother and Child Welfare in the Yogi Adityanath ministry of the Uttar Pradesh Government. The Department of Home and Confidential or Home Department serves as the ministry of the interior of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Responsible for the maintenance of law and order in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the department makes decisions regarding the peace of the state and enforcement of law and order and is responsible for the functioning of the state police. The department also prepares the state police's budget and—subject to the legislature's approval—releases funds. The Second ministry of Yogi Adityanath is the council of ministers in headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which was formed after 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election which was held in seven phases during February and March in the state. The results were declared on 10 March and this led to formation of 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The swearing-in ceremony was held at BRSABV Ekana International Cricket stadium, Gomti Nagar Extension in Lucknow. The head of all the big Indian and NDA lead states along with the big businessmen's including many celebrities were invited in the ceremony. 53 ministers were given oath by the Governor.
