"Five More Minutes" is a song by American pop rock group Jonas Brothers. It was released on May 15, 2020. The song was released concurrently with "X". Both of these songs were released as part of a conjoined single titled XV.
During the 62nd Grammy Awards on January 26, 2020, the band opened the performance with the song. [1] On May 12, 2020, the day after announcing the release of "X", they announced the release of the song for May 15, 2020. [1] The singles "Five More Minutes" and "X" were both featured in their tour documentary called Happiness Continues: A Jonas Brothers Concert Film, which was released in April 2020. During an interview with Insider, Kevin Jonas said "I think 'Five More Minutes' is one of my favorite songs in this body of work that we have [..] It was written at our writing camp when we went away as a group with all of our friends and it's just fantastic. It feels good, it's an amazing song." [2]
Billboard 's Stephen Daw said that "Five More Minutes" is a "harmonious love ballad where the trio begged their respective wives to 'give me five more minutes with you.'" [1] Rolling Stone 's Aletha legaspi said “Five More Minutes” showcases the band's softer side. The yearning ballad's chorus pleads for more time with a loved one. [3]
They performed the single live during the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards as well as the previous-released track called, "What a Man Gotta Do". [4]

The Jonas Brothers are an American pop rock band. Formed in 2005, they gained popularity from their appearances on the Disney Channel television network. They consist of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. Raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, the Jonas Brothers moved to Little Falls, New Jersey, in 2005, where they wrote their first record that made its Hollywood Records release. They starred in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock and its 2010 sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. They also starred in their own Disney Channel series Jonas, which was rebranded as Jonas L.A. for its second season. It was released through Republic Records and Joytime Collective as a single on May 21, 2021. Produced by Marshmello and co-produced by Alesso, Digital Farm Animals, and Heavy Mellow, the producers wrote the song alongside Richard Boardman and Pablo Bowman of the songwriting collective the Six, Phil Plested, and William Vaughan. Christian Arnold, David Martin and Geoff Morrow of the band Butterscotch are also credited as songwriters, due to an interpolation of their song "Can't Smile Without You" in the chorus of "Leave Before You Love Me". Programming was solely handled by Marshmello and mixing and mastering was handled by Manny Marroquin. Of the Jonas Brothers' members individual contributions to the song, brothers Nick and Joe share vocals and brother Kevin plays guitar and background vocals. The song serves as the Jonas Brothers' first release of 2021.
