She is best known for her work as a former member of the South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. As an actress, Jung portrayed Elle Woods in the Korean version of the musical Legally Blonde in 2010 and played a role in the television drama Wild Romance in 2012. In August 2014, she established a fashion brand, Blanc & Eclare. The next month, she was dismissed from Girls' Generation due to alleged conflicts between the group's schedule and her own business activities. Following the dismissal, Jung ended her contract with SM Entertainment in 2015 and signed with Coridel Entertainment in 2016, prior to the release of her debut solo album With Love, J. In May 2018, she signed a contract with United Talent Agency. Her debut best-selling novel Shine was released in September 2020.

"Party" is a bubblegum pop and electropop song that features synthesizers, guitar, and Auto-Tune in its instrumentation. To promote the song and the album, Girls' Generation performed "Party" on several South Korean music programs, including Music Bank, Show! Music Core and Inkigayo. 4 Walls is the fourth studio album by South Korea-based girl group f(x), released by SM Entertainment and Genie Music on October 27, 2015. A dominant electropop and synthpop record that incorporates various genres, such as house, EDM and UK garage, 4 Walls was composed by several production teams and songwriters, namely LDN Noise, The Stereotypes, Kenzie, Ryan S. Jhun, Makeba Riddick, Carly Rae Jepsen, among others, with Lee Soo-man served as the executive producer of the release. It marked f(x)'s first major release since Red Light in July 2014, and subsequently the group's first and currently the only major release as a quartet since the departure of former member Sulli in August 2015.

"I" is the debut single by South Korean singer Kim Tae-yeon featuring Verbal Jint, taken from Taeyeon's debut EP of the same name. The song lyrics was written by Taeyeon herself, Mafly, and Verbal Jint, while the music was composed and arranged by Myah Marie Langston, Bennett Armstrong, Justin T. Armstrong, Cosmopolitan Douglas, David Quinones, Jon Asher, and Ryan S. Jhun. The songs "Fly" and "Love Me the Same" were released as the album's singles on May 16 and 18, 2016, respectively.

"Make Me Love You" is a song recorded by South Korean singer Kim Tae-yeon. It was released as a single on April 5, 2017, by SM Entertainment. The song's lyrics were penned by Jo Yun-kyung while its music was composed by Matthew Tishler, Felicia Barton and Aaron Benward. The song is the title track of the Deluxe edition of Taeyeon's first studio album, My Voice, which was released on the same day.

"Dear Me" is a song recorded by South Korean singer Taeyeon for the re-release of her second studio album Purpose (2019). It was released on January 15, 2020, as the lead single for the repackage version of the album by SM Entertainment. The song's lyrics were penned by Hwang Yu-ra and Yoo Ji-won, while its music was composed by William Wenaus and Yoo Young-jin. Musically, "Dear Me" is a ballad featuring guitar, strings and Taeyeon's sentimental vocals.
