5-a-side football or blind football was one of the events featured at the 2022 Asian Para Games, which took place at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Field Hockey Field in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, from 23 to 28 October 2023. [1] Six teams entered. [2]

The men's football tournament at the 2018 Asian Games was held from 10 August to 1 September 2018. It was the 17th edition of the men's tournament. In this tournament, 25 teams played in the men's competition. South Korea were the gold medal holders when they won the tournament in 2014. They managed to retain their title.

The women's football tournament at the 2018 Asian Games was held from 16 to 31 August in Palembang, Indonesia. North Korea were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The host team was eliminated in the group stage.

Football 5-a-side or blind football has been contested in the Asian Para Games since its inception in 2010. Only men has competed in the football 5-a-side event in the games as of the 2014 edition. It was not contested in the 2018 games.

Paralympic shooting at the 2018 Asian Para Games was held in Jakarta between 8 and 12 October 2018.

The Gongshu Canal Sports Park Field Hockey Field is a field hockey stadium built for the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. The 8,697 m2 stadium seats 5,000. It was completed in 2021. It will host field hockey competitions during the Games, the blind football competition during the Para Games, and become a visitor reception center after the events end.

The men's team table tennis event at the 2022 Asian Games took place from 22 to 26 September 2023 at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Gymnasium.
