Force Majeure is the second studio album by Australian garage-punk band Delivery. [2] It was released through Heavenly Recordings on 17 January 2025. [3]
Two years after their debut album was released, Force Majeure was first announced on 24 September 2024 by the band, with the release of the single "Operating At A Loss", [3] which was preceded by the first single "Digging a Hole" and followed by the third single "Only a Fool", in October 2024. [4] The album was recorded by the band and mastered by Mikey Young. [5]

Julia Mason of Clash Magazine described the album as "a riot, in the party sense of the word, and a joyous exposé of the crazy times we live in," rating it 7 out of 10, [6] and Sarah Downs of Rolling Stone called it "a statement of intent". [8]
Louder Than War 's Wayne Carey reviewed the album and individual songs, stating "Force Majeure sets the pace for the rest of 2025 and instills the fact that garage punk will never be boring and can be reinvented in the right hands for the kids today." [7]
AllMusic referred to the album as "a small-scale triumph that's built on musicians sweating it out in small rooms, cranking the amps until they begin to crackle, and plugging directly into the still-beating heart of rock & roll," giving it four out of five stars. [1]

Punk rock is a rock music genre that emerged in the mid-1970s. Rooted in 1950s rock and roll and 1960s garage rock, punk bands rejected the corporate nature of mainstream 1970s rock music. They typically produced short, fast-paced songs with hard-edged melodies and singing styles with stripped-down instrumentation. Lyricism in punk typically revolves around anti-establishment and anti-authoritarian themes. Punk embraces a DIY ethic; many bands self-produce recordings and distribute them through independent labels.
The Clash were an English rock band formed in London in 1976. Billed as "The Only Band That Matters", they are considered one of the most influential acts in the original wave of British punk rock, with their music fusing elements of reggae, dub, funk, ska, and rockabilly. The band also contributed to the post-punk and new wave movements that followed. For most of their recording career, the Clash consisted of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Joe Strummer, lead guitarist and vocalist Mick Jones, bassist Paul Simonon, and drummer Nicky "Topper" Headon.
Green Day is an American rock band formed in Rodeo, California, in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, with drummer Tré Cool joining in 1990. In 1994, their major-label debut Dookie, released through Reprise Records, became a breakout success and eventually shipped over 20 million copies in the U.S. Alongside fellow California punk bands Bad Religion, the Offspring, Rancid, NOFX, Pennywise and Social Distortion, Green Day is credited with re-popularizing mainstream interest in punk rock in the U.S.
MC5 was an American rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan, in 1963. The classic lineup consisted of vocalist Rob Tyner, guitarists Wayne Kramer and Fred "Sonic" Smith, bassist Michael Davis, and drummer Dennis Thompson. MC5 were listed by Parade as one of the best rock bands of all time and by VH1 as one of the greatest hard rock artists of all time. The band's first three albums are regarded by many as staples of rock music, and their 1969 song "Kick Out the Jams" is widely covered.
Gang of Four are an English post-punk band, formed in 1976 in Leeds. The original members were singer Jon King, guitarist Andy Gill, bass guitarist Dave Allen and drummer Hugo Burnham. There have been many different line-ups including, among other notable musicians, Sara Lee, Gail Ann Dorsey, and David Pajo. After a brief lull in the 1980s, different constellations of the band recorded two studio albums in the 1990s. Between 2004 and 2006 the original line-up was reunited; Gill toured using the name between 2012 and his death in 2020. In 2021, the band announced that King, Burnham, and Lee would be reuniting for a US tour in 2022 with David Pajo on guitar and Sara Lee returning to the band. They continued to perform live, including at the Cruel World Festival in Pasadena, California; headlining Luna Fest in Coimbra, Portugal and a UK Tour in October 2023. They announced that their "Long Goodbye" tour in 2025 would be their last. For this tour, King and Burnham were joined by Ted Leo on guitar and Gail Greenwood on bass.

Proto-punk is rock music from the 1960s to mid-1970s that foreshadowed the punk rock movement. By the late 1960s, Detroit bands the Stooges and MC5 had used the influence of these groups to form a distinct prototypical punk sound. In the following years, this sound spread both domestically and internationally, leading to the formation of the New York Dolls and Electric Eels in the United States, Dr. Feelgood in England, and the Saints in Australia.
Inspiral Carpets is an English rock band, part of the late-1980s/early-1990s Madchester movement. Formed in Oldham in 1983, the band's most successful lineup featured frontman Tom Hingley, drummer Craig Gill, guitarist Graham Lambert, bassist Martyn Walsh and keyboardist Clint Boon.

Lambrini Girls are an English punk rock group. Formed in Brighton, the band currently comprise Phoebe Lunny and Lilly Macieira. After releasing their debut single in 2021 and signing to Big Scary Monsters by November 2022, they released the EP You're Welcome in May 2023 which received positive critical reception from music publications, though subsequently defended themselves after attracting attention from anti-transgender campaigners. Their 2025 debut album, Who Let the Dogs Out, charted at No. 16 on the UK Albums Chart and received positive reception from multiple outlets.
If That Makes Sense is the upcoming third studio album by Australian indie rock band Spacey Jane, set to release on 9 May 2025 via AWAL. It was produced by Mike Crossey and written alongside Day Wave and Sarah Aarons. The album is preceded by the lead single "All the Noise", released on 16 January 2025.
