A community college is a type of educational institution. The term can have different meanings in different countries: many community colleges have an "open enrollment" for students who have graduated from high school. The term usually refers to a higher educational institution that provides workforce education and college transfer academic programs. Some institutions maintain athletic teams and dormitories similar to their university counterparts.
Fiorello H. Forest Heights Collegiate Institute is a high school located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada that was established in 1964. The school is often colloquially referred to as FHCI, Forest Heights, and Forest by the students and other Kitchener locals. It was named after the Forest Heights neighbourhood in which it is located. FHCI serves the youth of the Northwest Kitchener, ON by “receiving its students from A.R. Kaufman Public School, Laurentian Senior Public School, MacGregor Senior Public School, Queensmount Public School and Westheights Public School.”.
