Career

Corbett has been competing in badminton since she was six. She won gold medals in girls' singles and doubles events for U11, U15 and U17 categories at the Pan Am Junior Championships in 2015, 2017, and 2019 respectively. [2] In late 2019, Corbett and her partner Allison Lee won the National Adult Championships women's doubles title, becoming the youngest pair to ever be crowned as national champions. [3] She was then chosen to represent the USA's women's team at the 2020 Pan Am Male & Female Cup in February. The team bagged silver after losing to Canada in the final. [4]

2021

In May, Corbett and Lee entered the final of 2021 Pan Am Championships and finished as runners-up. [5] In the following month, she competed in the National Junior Championships. She won gold in the girls' doubles U19 event with Lee, another gold in the mixed doubles U17 event with Samuel Li, as well as a bronze in the girls' singles U19 event. [6]

In July, Corbett helped team USA to win gold in the mixed team event at the 2021 Pan Am Junior Championships. [7] She then won gold with Lee in the women's doubles U19 event. She also picked up bronze in the mixed doubles U17 event partnering Li. [8] In September, Corbett and Lee captured their first senior career title at the Guatemala International. [9]

2022

Corbett was part of the USA's women's team that won gold at the 2022 Pan Am Male & Female Cup in February. [10] [11] In April, she and Lee won a bronze medal at the 2022 Pan Am Championships. [12] In August, they made their World Championships debut at the 2022 World Championships.

2023

In April, Corbett and Lee clinched their second silver medal at the 2023 Pan Am Championships. [13] They also reached the final of the Mexican International the following week. [14] In October, the duo made history by becoming the first player or pair from the USA to earn a World Junior Championships medal when they reached the girls' doubles semi-final at the 2023 World Junior Championships. [15] They went on to win silver, falling to Japan's Maya Taguchi and Aya Tamaki in the final. [16] [17]

Chew also participated in the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. He won the 2021 Pan Am Badminton Championships doubles with his brother Ryan Chew. He trains at the Orange County Badminton Club, which is founded by his grandfather, Don Chew.

Sören Hans Brad Opti is a badminton player from Suriname. He is an Olympian, respresenting Suriname at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He was also selected to represent his country at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, but due to a positive Covid-test had to stay home. In the 2016 Olympics Opti was the flagbearer for Suriname during the opening ceremony. Opti participated at the 2014 and 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.

Du Yue is a Chinese badminton player. She won the silver medal at the 2014 Asian Junior Championships in the girls' doubles event partnered with Li Yinhui. She and Li then made it to the gold medal 2015. Du also claimed the girls' doubles gold in 2016 partnered with Xu Ya and doubled-up the title winning mixed doubles gold with He Jiting. She and He Jiting captured the gold medal at the 2016 World Junior Championships, which in the previous year they won the silver medal. She won her first senior international title at the 2017 China International tournament in the women's doubles event partnered with Xu Ya. Du was the mixed doubles silver medalist at the 2019 Asian Championships, and the women's doubles bronze medalist at the 2019 World Championships.

Josephine Yuenling Wu is a Canadian badminton player. She clinched three Pan American Games gold medals by winning the mixed doubles title in 2019 and 2023, and also the women's doubles title in 2023. At the Pan Am Championships, she won seven golds, and five silver medals since her debut at the tournament in 2016.

Crystal Leefmans is a Surinamese badminton player. In 2010, she won the bronze medals at the Medellín South American Games in the mixed doubles and team event. In 2011, she won the mixed doubles title at the Carebaco International tournament in the individuals event of the Carebaco Games partnered with Mitchel Wongsodikromo. Leefmans was also the champion at the Suriname International tournament in 2012 and 2013. In 2018 she won the mixed doubles Carebaco International title again at home, this time partnering compatriot Dylan Darmohoetomo. She was the flagbearer for Suriname at the 2011 Pan Am Games.

Lee Yun-hwa is a South Korean badminton player. Born in Wonju, Gangwon province, Lee started playing badminton at aged nine. She educated at the Bukwon girls' middle school, after that in Yubong girls' high school. Lee joined the national team when she was 15 and trained at the Taeneung national training center. In the junior event, she competed at the Asian Junior Championships, winning a gold medal in the girls' team event in 2001, girls team silver and girls' doubles bronze medal in 2002. She also part of the national junior team that won the silver medal at the 2002 World Junior Championships. She made a debut at the Uber Cup in 2004, and captured the attention by her outstanding performance winning the singles and doubles event in the semi-finals against Denmark. In the Sudirman Cup, she helped the team reaching in to the semi-finals round in 2005 and 2007, clinched the bronze medal for the team. Lee who was affiliated with the Daekyo Noonoppi, helped the Korean team won the world women's team championships at the 2010 Uber Cup.

An Se-young is a South Korean badminton player from Gwangju, who was named 2019’s Most Promising Player of the Year and 2023's Female Player of the Year by the BWF. She won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, making history as the first Korean women's singles player to win the World Championships title. She then clinched the women's singles gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games. An was also a part of South Korea’s gold medal winning teams at the 2022 Uber Cup and at the 2022 Asian Games.

Kristen Tsai is a Taiwanese born Canadian badminton player. She is the women's doubles champion at the 2019 Pan American Games, fifth time Pan Am Champion winning the women's singles title in 2012, and then the women's doubles title in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.

She affiliates with club SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil She has won the Scottish National Championships seven times in the women's doubles and five times in the mixed doubles. She also part of team Scotland that won the bronze medal at the 2020 European Women's Team Championships.

Annie Xu is an American badminton player who competes in international elite events. She is a double Pan Am Junior champion; Pan American Games silver medalist; and also Summer Universiade and Pan Am Championships bronze medalists alongside her twin sister Kerry Xu.

Rachel Chan is a Canadian badminton player. She won the women's singles title at the 2020 Canadian National Championships and became Canada's youngest national champion. She has represented Canada in the Pan Am Junior Championships multiple times between 2016 until 2019, and the 2019 World Junior Championship making it to round of 32. Rachel won silver at the 2021 Pan Am Championships in women's singles, debuting in her first senior level international tournament, and later cliched the bronze medal at the 2023 Pan American Games.

Fernanda Saponara Rivva is a Peruvian female badminton player who competes internationally.
