William Ernest Walsh was an American professional and college football coach. He served as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford Cardinal, during which time he popularized the West Coast offense. After retiring from the 49ers, Walsh worked as a sports broadcaster for several years and then returned as head coach at Stanford for three seasons.

Mark Richard Grieb is a former Arena football quarterback who spent the majority of his career with the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League (AFL). Grieb currently serves as the head coach of the Sacred Heart Prep Gators football team in Atherton, California. He was a 13-year veteran of the AFL, having played quarterback for the Anaheim Piranhas (1997) and San Jose SaberCats. Grieb also played in NFL Europe for the Scottish Claymores (1998) and in the XFL with the Las Vegas Outlaws (2001). Grieb is the second quarterback in AFL history to throw for over 47,000 yards, over 900 touchdowns, over 3,800 completions, and over 10,000 pass attempts. He officially retired on November 8, 2012. He played college football at University of California, Davis. Grieb passed for 48,080 yards between the Arena League, XFL and NFL Europe.
Menlo School, commonly referred to as just Menlo, is a private college preparatory school in Atherton, California, United States. The school comprises a middle school, grades 6–8, with approximately 230 students and a high school, grades 9–12, with about 580 students. The middle and high school share a campus and have some overlapping administration, such as the Head of School.

From 1985 to 1988, Rogers was the head coach of Detroit Lions the National Football League (NFL), tallying a mark of 18–40. In 1991, served as head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL), coaching the Blue Bombers to a 9–9 record and an appearance in the East Final.

Dudley Sargent DeGroot was an American athlete and coach, primarily of American football. He served as the head coach for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL) from 1944 and 1945, tallying a mark of 14–5–1; his winning percentage of .737 is the best in franchise history for coaches with at least one full season. DeGroot was also the head football coach at Santa Barbara State College—now the University of California, Santa Barbara (1926–1928), San Jose State University (1932–1939), the University of Rochester (1940–1943), West Virginia University (1948–1949), and the University of New Mexico (1950–1952), compiling a career college football record of 117–67–9. In addition, he served as the head coach of the Los Angeles Dons of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) from 1946 to 1947.
Kenneth Margerum is a former American college and professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons during the 1980s. Margerum played college football for Stanford University, and earned consensus All-American honors twice. He played professionally for the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers of the NFL.
Robert Alden "Titch" Titchenal was an American football player and coach. He played college football at San Jose State University from 1937 to 1939 and was captain of the school's undefeated 1939 team. He played professional football for five seasons as a center and end for the Washington Redskins (1940–1942), San Francisco 49ers (1946), and Los Angeles Dons (1947).

Diaz-Infante played college football at San Jose State University. Inducted into SJSU Sports Hall of Fame, and Bellarmine College Prep Hall of Fame. Diaz-Infante was a Voice of Denver Broncos Color Analyst for the Denver Bronco's Radio Network. He was recently named the head coach of the Bellarmine Bells, the 7th football coach in the school's history.

The 1930 Humboldt State Lumberjacks football team represented Humboldt State Normal College—now known as California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt—as an independent during the 1930 college football season. Led by fourth-year head coach Fred Telonicher, the Lumberjacks compiled a record of 0–6. Humboldt State was shut out in five of their six games and gave up an average of 45 points per game, being outscored 268 to 7 for the season. The team played home games at Albee Stadium in Eureka, California.

Capidro is a historical site in Menlo Park, California in San Mateo County. Capidro site is a California Historical Landmark No. 939.8. Capidro is number 8 in a part of group of California Historical Landmark on folk art, Twentieth Century Folk Art Environments (Thematic). Capidro was built by retired gardener, John Guidici (1887–1976). In 1932 Guidici began landscaping his Menlo Park house with cement, local sand, and the sea shells. There is no marker at the current site. Folk art ornamenting at the Menlo Park home, no longer exists, removed by new owners. Guidici's grandchildren saved some art pieces and there was an exhibit at San Jose State University in 1987 called Documenting Capedro. Capidro is Italian for "rock garden. Capidro was the gardener for President Herbert Hoover's garden in Stanford.
