Jeff Jarnigan is an assistant general manager and coach for the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League (IFL). [1]

A native of Oklahoma, Jarnigan played football at Southwestern College; shortly after graduating, he began a coaching career. From 1988 to 1999, Jarnigan was employed by four collegiate programs (Fort Hays State University, Bethel College, Morningside College, and Carleton College; at each, he generally served as either an offensive line or defensive line coach. In 2000, Jarnigan landed his first head coaching position; he coached the Minnesota Rage of the Indoor Football League for one year. [2]

In 2001, Jarnigan became the defensive coordinator for the Tulsa Talons of the AF2. During his three seasons in Tulsa, the team went 44–10; Jarnigan's tenure culminated with the Talons' victory over the Macon Knights in ArenaCup IV. Jarnigan was subsequently named defensive coordinator of the AFL's Austin Wranglers in 2004. His success there led to his being appointed head coach of the AF2's Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz in 2005. [3] Under Jarnigan, the Dawgz went 10–6 and 11–5 in 2005 and 2006; both times, however, they suffered narrow losses in the first round of the AF2 playoffs.

Jarnigan returned to the AFL in 2007. That year, he was named the Special Teams/Defensive Line coach for the San Jose SaberCats. In Jarnigan's first year, the SaberCats' special teams improved greatly; [4] he won his first AFL Championship at the end of the season, when the SaberCats defeated the Columbus Destroyers in ArenaBowl XXI. [5] Jarnigan was promoted to the position of defensive coordinator in 2008. The SaberCats' defense nominally regressed that year; a strong second half, however, saw the team reach ArenaBowl XXII (which it lost to the Philadelphia Soul). [6]

The SaberCats, along with the rest of the Arena Football League, suspended operations in 2009. In 2011, the team returned to action; Jarnigan was once again named the team's defensive coordinator. A poor showing from San Jose's new–look defense lead the SaberCats to replace Jarnigan with Cedric Walker as defensive coordinator; [7] he was retained, however, as an offensive line/special teams coach. Since 2012, Jarnigan has experienced considerable success in a variety of coaching capacities. Most recently, in 2015, he served as a hybrid offensive line/defensive line/special teams coach for the SaberCats. That season, the defensive line flourished under Jarnigan's guidance (recording a league-high 42 sacks); at the end of the season, he won a second AFL Championship as the SaberCats defeated the Jacksonville Sharks in ArenaBowl XXVIII. [8] He was employed by the team for a total of seven years and was the only assistant coach to have been continuously employed by the team since its 2011 return.

In 2016, he joined the Arizona Rattlers in the AFL as an assistant general manager and defensive line coach after the SabreCats ceased operations. In 2017, the Rattlers left the AFL and joined the Indoor Football League, winning the league championship in their first season of participation.

John Dutton is a former Arena Football League quarterback. He was drafted out of University of Nevada, Reno in the 6th round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. In 2005, he led the Crush to the ArenaBowl XIX title. In 2006, he was on the cover of the EA Sports first AFL video game, Arena Football, making him the first player to pose for the cover. He had been the backup quarterback for the San Jose SaberCats behind Mark Grieb. After Grieb's suffered a season-ending injury earlier in the year, Dutton quarterbacked the SaberCats to a 52–14 victory over the Arizona Rattlers in ArenaBowl XVI. He was named Offensive Player of the Game for his performance. In June 2009, Dutton was signed by the RiverCity Rage of the Indoor Football League. On February 12, 2010, it was announced that Dutton had been signed by the Cleveland Gladiators.

Omarr Ali Hasan Smith is a former American football defensive back who was most recently the head coach of the Baltimore Brigade of the Arena Football League (AFL). He played professionally for the San Jose SaberCats of the AFL, and played college football at San Jose State.

Maurice "Mo" Purify is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Nebraska. Purify also played for the Georgia Force, Omaha Nighthawks, Arizona Rattlers, and San Jose SaberCats. Having scored over 150 touchdowns and over 6,000 receiving yards in his career, as well as winning four consecutive ArenaBowls with two teams, Purify is considered one of the best receivers in AFL history.

Kevin Guy is an arena football coach and former wide receiver and defensive back who is the head coach for the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League (IFL). He played his college football at the University of West Alabama, and was an AFL wide receiver and defensive back from 1996 to 1999. He has been a football coach since 2000, and first served as a head coach in 2000 as the interim head coach for the New Jersey Red Dogs. After being the defensive coordinator for the San Jose SaberCats from 2006 to 2007, he became the Rattlers head coach in 2008. In 2018, his wife Cathy became co-owner of a new Tucson-based IFL franchise, called the Tucson Sugar Skulls, set to play in 2019.

Clevan Nathaniel Thomas is a former American football cornerback. Along with Kenny McEntyre, he is regarded as one of the top defensive backs in Arena Football history. He spent ten of his seasons in the AFL with the SaberCats; over this span, he won four ArenaBowl championships and three Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) awards. In 2012, Thomas was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame.

Nick Davila is an arena football quarterback who is currently a free agent. A three-time AFL champion, and three-time MVP, he also played for the Arizona Rattlers from 2010 to 2016. Davila is of Mexican American descent. He is nicknamed the "Latin Laser". In 2017, he was the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Rattlers of the Indoor Football League (IFL), who went on to win the 2017 United Bowl.

Rob Keefe is a former arena football defensive specialist and coach. Keefe has five championship victories and is the only person in arena football history to win ArenaCup (af2) and ArenaBowl (AFL) titles as both a player and a coach. As of the 2022 season, he is an assistant head coach and defensive coordinator with the Northern Arizona Wranglers in the Indoor Football League.

Robert Bees is a former American football quarterback who played two seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the Oklahoma Wranglers, San Jose SaberCats and Buffalo Destroyers. He played college football at Rocky Mountain. He was also a member of the Richmond Speed, Billings Outlaws/Mavericks, Las Vegas Gladiators and Tulsa Talons.

The 2015 San Jose SaberCats season was the team's 19th in San Jose, California. The team was coached by Darren Arbet and played their home games at the SAP Center at San Jose. They finished first in the Pacific Division with a 17–1 regular season record and went on to defeat the Jacksonville Sharks 68–47 in ArenaBowl XXVIII.

Albin "A. J." Haglund is a former American football placekicker who played three seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the San Jose SaberCats and Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz. He played college football at the University of Central Oklahoma and attended El Reno High School in El Reno, Oklahoma.

Cedric Walker is a former American football defensive back and coach who is currently the head coach and defensive coordinator of the Wyoming Mustangs of the Champions Indoor Football (CIF). Walker played football at Stephen F. Austin University; once his stint there concluded, he signed with the AFL's Charlotte Rage. Walker played for a succession of AFL teams over his ten-season career; these included the Orlando Predators, Arizona Rattlers, Indiana Firebirds, Chicago Rush, Austin Wranglers, and Las Vegas Gladiators. At the end of his AFL Career, Walker had amassed some 522 solo tackles ; this was the league's seventh-highest total. Walker also won one ArenaBowl as a player; this came with the Arizona Rattlers in 1997.

Lorenzo "Chuck" Reed was an American football offensive lineman who last played the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League (AFL). Prior to joining the SaberCats, he played for the Shreveport Pirates of the Canadian Football League and the Anaheim Piranhas, Portland Forest Dragons, and Oklahoma Wranglers of the AFL. Prior to playing professionally, Reed played collegiate football at UNLV.
