Virgil Carl Gray (born March 7, 1984) is a former arena football defensive back. He played college football for the University of Rhode Island.
Gray attended Therrell High School in Atlanta, Georgia and was a student and a standout in football and basketball. In football, he was a three-year letterman, and as a senior, he served as a team captain and was an All-City selection. Gray graduated in 2002.
Gray continued his football career at the University of Rhode Island. As a freshman in 2002, Gray red-shirted. Gray would play the next 4 seasons for the Rams, lettering each season, and was named a Second-Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection as a senior in 2006. [1]
In 2008, Gray signed with the Lubbock Renegades of af2. Gray played the competition of the 2008 season with the Renegades to a 9–7 record, and a berth in the af2 playoffs where they lost in the first round.
In 2009, Gray signed with the Spokane Shock after the Renegades folded. The Shock finished the season 15–1 and won, what happened to be the final, ArenaCup.
In 2010, Gray was assigned to the Milwaukee Iron, who had joined a number of other af2 teams in forming Arena Football 1. [2]
In 2011, former Shock teammate Nick Davila, convinced Gray to join him on the Arizona Rattlers. [3]
Gray signed with the Power on September 14, 2013.
In his first season with the Power, Gray missed 7 games due to a high ankle sprain but still finished with 42 tackles, 23 pass breakups and 11 interceptions returned for 297 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gray also returned 15 kickoffs for 344 yards and 1 touchdown.
Gray was assigned to the San Jose SaberCats on September 29, 2014.
Gray was selected by the Guangzhou Power of the China Arena Football League (CAFL) in the fifteenth round of the 2016 CAFL Draft. [4]
On March 21, 2018, Gray was assigned to the Baltimore Brigade. [5]
On March 7, 2017, Gray was named to the Baltimore Brigade coaching staff as an assistant coach.

He spent ten of his seasons in the AFL with the SaberCats; over this span, he won four ArenaBowl championships and three Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) awards. In 2012, Thomas was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame.
Nick Davila is a former arena football quarterback. A three-time AFL champion, and three-time MVP, he also played for the Arizona Rattlers from 2010 to 2016. Davila is of Mexican American descent. He is nicknamed the "Latin Laser". In 2017, he was the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Rattlers of the Indoor Football League (IFL), who went on to win the 2017 United Bowl.

He is also a former National Football League, Canadian Football League, and Arena Football League defensive back. He played his college football at Walsh University and graduated with his bachelor's degree in Computer Science. The 2015 San Jose SaberCats season was the team's 19th in San Jose, California. The team was coached by Darren Arbet and played their home games at the SAP Center at San Jose. They finished first in the Pacific Division with a 17–1 regular season record and went on to defeat the Jacksonville Sharks 68–47 in ArenaBowl XXVIII.

Cedric Walker is a former American football defensive back and coach who is currently the head coach and defensive coordinator of the Billings Outlaws of the Arena Football League (AFL). Walker played football at Stephen F. Austin University; once his stint there concluded, he signed with the AFL's Charlotte Rage. Walker played for a succession of AFL teams over his ten-season career; these included the Orlando Predators, Arizona Rattlers, Indiana Firebirds, Chicago Rush, Austin Wranglers, and Las Vegas Gladiators. At the end of his AFL Career, Walker had amassed some 522 solo tackles ; this was the league's seventh-highest total. Walker also won one ArenaBowl as a player; this came with the Arizona Rattlers in 1997.
