Fryburg (also Freyburg, Freyburgh, or Fryburgh) [1] is an unincorporated community located in central Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, United States.
It is located between Wapakoneta and Botkins. The community is served by the Wapakoneta City School District and the Wapakoneta (45895) post office.
Fryburg was laid out in 1848 at the site of a former Native American settlement. [2] A post office was established at Fryburg in 1847, and remained in operation until 1903. [3] A community landmark is St. John's Catholic Church, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [4]

St. John Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic church in the unincorporated community of Fryburg in Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, United States. The parish was established in 1848, the same year in which the community was platted, and construction was completed in 1850. A Catholic school in connection with the church was established in 1877. Both buildings feature fine architecture: the church includes Gothic Revival elements such as ornate pilasters and lancet windows, while the former school is a good example of Federal architecture.

Slater is an unincorporated community in Clay Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, United States. It is located southeast of Wapakoneta and just south of Saint Johns, on Geyer Road between Clay Road and Gutman Road, at 40°31′40″N84°04′24″W.
A significant early spring tornado outbreak occurred throughout the Midwestern and Northeastern United States, mainly within Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. More than two dozen tornadoes occurred, eight of them strong-to-intense. National Weather Service offices issued multiple 'Particularly Dangerous Situation' tornado warnings. Tornadoes produced heavy damage in the communities of Madison, Winchester and Muncie in Indiana, and Wapakoneta, Lakeview, and Plymouth in Ohio. At least three people were killed in Logan County, Ohio in the Lakeview tornado, and dozens of others were left injured or missing.
