Gayathiri Venkatagiri (also known as Gayathri Iyer) [1] [2] is an Indian actress and model from Tamilnadu, and was bought up in Kochi, Kerala, who has acted predominantly in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Bengali films.

Her first notable film in Kannada was Namo Bhootatma , a remake of the Tamil film Yaamirukka Bayamey , produced by Eldred Kumar of RS Infotainment and starred Komal and Harish Raj as the male leads. Namo Bhootatma ran for 100 days in Karnataka and was well received by the audience. [3]

Iyer's next release was Ouija in Kannada by Vega Entertainment which was filmed in Malaysia and parts of Bangalore and Hyderabad. [4] [5] It starred Shraddha Das, Madhuri Itagi, Sayaji Shinde and Bharath. [6] She made her television debut in Ekta Kapoor's serial Haiwaan : The Monster and was praised for portraying her natural evil look on camera.

Namo Bhootatma is a 2014 Indian Kannada horror comedy film directed by Murali in his debut. The film was a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Yaamirukka Bayamey, which itself was based on the Korean movie The Quiet Family. It stars Komal Kumar, Iswarya Menon, Anaswara Kumar, Gayathri Iyer, and Harish Raj in the lead roles. Telugu comedian Ali made his second Kannada movie with this film. It's also dubbed in Hindi with the same name. A sequel Namo Bhoothathma 2 released in 2023.

<i>Ouija</i> (2015 film) 2015 Indian film

Ouija is a 2015 Kannada-language supernatural horror film produced by Vikram Raju under the Vega Entertainment banner. The movie is directed by Raaj Kumar Reddy. The film stars Bharath, Shraddha Das, Gayathri Iyer, Madhuri Itagi, Kadambari Jethwani, Sayaji Shinde, Avinash, Raja Ravindra and Raghu Kunche. The films' music has been composed by Hari Nikesh. The stunt sequences in the film were directed by action director William Ong. All five songs for the film have been choreographed by Raghu Master. The major portion of this film was shot in Malaysia and Bangalore with a few scenes being shot in Hyderabad. The film was dubbed in Telugu as Aata. Ouija was first released in India on 6 November 2015.
