The Geely PU is a subcompact vehicle from Chinese manufacturer, Geely Automobile. It was introduced in 2001, available as a two-door coupe utility called the JL1010N sold from 2001 to 2005 then as the JL1010E1 from 2005 to 2007 as well as the two-door van known as the JL5010X from 2001 to 2004.

The PU is based on the Daihatsu Charade platform, which Geely licensed from Xiali. Its basic underpinnings are shared with the HQ/Haoqing and Merrie/Uliou.

Daihatsu Charade supermini car

The Daihatsu Charade is a supermini car produced by the Japanese manufacturer Daihatsu from 1977 to 2000. It is considered by Daihatsu as a "large compact" car, to differentiate it from the smaller kei car compacts in its line-up, such as the Daihatsu Mira. In Japan, it offers buyers more interior space and a larger engine that is more appreciated with regards to Japanese driving conditions and speed limits in Japan realistically not exceeding 40 km/h (24.9 mph) in urban areas. It replaced the Daihatsu Consorte, although the Charmant took over from the bigger-engined Consortes.

Geely HQ

The Geely HQ is a station wagon from Chinese manufacturer, Geely Automobile. It was the first Geely product, introduced in February 1998. Originally a 993 cc Daihatsu three cylinder or a 1,342 cc Toyota inline four were offered, with 52 PS (38 kW) or 86 PS (63 kW) respectively. A 5 door hatchback is also available known as the "Liangjing."

The Geely Merrie is a subcompact car produced by chinese automaker Geely Automobile from 2003 to 2009. The MR is produced in five-door hatchback and four-door sedan body styles.

Production was finished in 2007.

The R142 is the first model class of the newest generation or new technology (NTT) IRT cars for the New York City Subway. It was built by Bombardier in La Pocatiere, Quebec and Barre, Vermont with final assembly performed at Plattsburgh, New York, from 1999 to 2003. There are 880 cars numbered 6301–7180 and another 150 cars numbered 1101–1250, for a total of 1,030 cars. Along with the R142As, they replaced the Redbird trains, including the R26, R28, R29, R33, R33WF, R36, and R36WF.

Elwood Gordon Gee is an American academic and is currently serving his second term as President of West Virginia University. He has served as the chief executive at several universities in the United States, previously serving at The Ohio State University.
