The 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis was a political,economic,and humanitarian crisis that erupted in Kenya after former President Mwai Kibaki was declared the winner of the presidential election held on December 27,2007. Supporters of Kibaki's main opponent in that election,Raila Odinga of the Orange Democratic Movement,alleged electoral manipulation. This position was widely confirmed by international observers,as being perpetrated by both parties in the election. Even the head of the electoral commission himself confirmed that he did not know who had won the elections despite announcing the incumbent as president.

He is,therefore,the pioneer Governor of Kakamega County under the devolved system of governance in Kenya that established 47 counties. John Olago Aluoch is a Kenyan politician. He started out in the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Kisumu Town West Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. He currently is Member of Parliament for Kisumu West Constituency on a Ford-Kenya ticket following the 2013 General Elections.

Despite significant politically engineered setbacks,Joho emerged triumphant by winning with 220 576 votes against his closest rival Suleimann Shabal with 69 322 votes,Suleimann is a member of the Jubilee Party.
