Mutahi Kagwe is a Kenyan politician.
He is the former cabinet secretary for Health in the Republic of Kenya. He assumed office on 28 February 2020 after the docket was handed over to him by the previous cabinet secretary for Health,Sicily Kariuki. Hon. Mutahi Kagwe was born in 1958 [3] and he attended his early education at Kihate Primary School from 1965 - 1971. He later joined Kagumo High School in 1972 - 1977 to pursue his O levels and A levels. Kagwe would later join the University of Nairobi from 1978 - 1981 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Insurance) degree. He took further studies at the United States International University from 1988 - 1992 and graduated with an MBA.
Before Kagwe got into politics he was in private business and had an independent publishing house as well as a public relations company. Between 1987 and 1989 he was working with the Standard Media Group's advertising department where he rose to the position of commercial director of the institution. [4]
Kagwe's political journey began in the year 2002 when he became the fifth member of parliament for Mukurweini Constituency [5] in Nyeri County on a National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) party ticket. As a member of parliament, he was the chair of the parliamentary committee on Finance, Trade, Tourism, and Planning.
In the year 2005, Kagwe was appointed to the cabinet as the minister of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) by the late former President Mwai Kibaki.
Kagwe tried to retain his parliamentary seat during the 2007 Kenyan general elections but he lost it to Kabando wa Kabando. He ran in the 2013 Kenyan General Elections for a seat in the Senate of Kenya on a NARC party ticket. He won and became the first senator of Nyeri County.
He assumed office as the senator of Nyeri county in March 2013.
In the 2017 Kenyan general elections, he pursued the Nyeri gubernatorial seat on a Jubilee party ticket, [6] which he lost. In 2019 he was appointed to the board of the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

The National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) is a political party in Kenya. As an alliance, it was in power from 2002 and 2005 when it collapsed due to disagreements between members over a constitutional referendum.

John Njoroge Michuki was a Kenyan politician and businessman. He was born at Muguru village in Fort Hall District. He was educated in Kenya and abroad. Michuki emerged as one of the prominent and long-serving civil servants and politicians as well as a businessman in Kenya. Michuki served Kenya in various capacities, including Permanent Secretary in the Finance Ministry, Chairman of the Kenya Commercial Bank, Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister. He was serving his 4th five-year term as a Member of Parliament for Kangema Constituency. Michuki had a reputation as a "ruthless" and efficient manager, and was widely acknowledged as among the best performing ministers in President Kibaki's Government. He was serving as the Minister for Environment and National Resources at the time of his death.

Charity Kaluki Ngilu is a Kenyan politician and the second governor elected for Kitui County. She unsuccessfully vied to be President of the Republic of Kenya in 1997. She served as Minister for Health from 2003 until 2007 and Minister of Water and Irrigation from April 2008 to 2013. She also served as Cabinet Secretary for Land, Housing and Urban Development from 2013 until 2015.

She was Minister for Justice until resigning from that position in April 2009. She has consistently fought for the protection of women's rights and improvements to the democratic process.
The Party of National Unity (PNU) is a political party in Kenya originally founded as a political coalition. On 16 September 2007, Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki announced the party's formation and declared that he would run as its presidential candidate in the December 2007 Kenyan elections. Following the conditions set by the Political Parties Act which were passed in Kenya in 2008, PNU became an official political party. Recently PNU has launched activities to revamp itself ahead of the 2022 general elections.

Franklin Kipn'getich Bett alias (Chepkooit) is a Kenyan politician. He is currently serving as the chairman of the Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) after President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed him to the position. He belongs to the Jubilee Alliance Party and was elected to represent the Bureti Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya in the Kenyan parliamentary election, 2007.
Kabando wa Kabando is a Kenyan politician and activist. He represented the Mukurweini Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya for two terms, having been elected for the first time in the 2007 Kenyan general election under the Safina Party, which he was member of until 2022. He is the founder Chairman of Nairobi Water Company, and a founder of Students' Opinion (STOP) lobby which led to the revival of Students' Organisation of Nairobi University (SONU), where he was elected President in 1992. He is a regular author and media commentator on public affairs, locally and globally. In 2014, he was voted the most progressive public interest legislator in Kenyan Parliament.
The National Alliance (TNA) was a political party in Kenya. It took on its current identity when Uhuru Kenyatta assumed control and renamed it as the vehicle for his 2012 presidential campaign.
