Giorgio Pestelli (born 1938) [1] is an Italian musicologist.

His 1967 edition of the 555 keyboard sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti purports to correct some anachronisms and provides an alternative numbering system (distinguished by P numbers) to those of Alessandro Longo (L numbers) and Ralph Kirkpatrick (K or Kk numbers). [2] [3] [4]

Evgeny Zarafiants is a pianist. He studied at the Glinka Conservatory in Gorky. Zarafiants later taught at the Conservatory in Nizhny Novgorod. His recordings include the Preludes of Alexander Scriabin and the keyboard sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti. In 1993, he was awarded joint-second prize at the Ivo Pogorelich International Solo Piano Competition at the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena, California.

The Good-Humoured Ladies is a ballet with scenery and costumes by Léon Bakst, choreography by Léonide Massine, and music arranged from sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti by Vincenzo Tommasini. Written in 1917, the piece was based on a comedy by Carlo Goldoni; its plot concerns the diversions of a count disguised as a woman, at a carnival. It was produced in Rome in April 1917 by Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes.

Essercizi per gravicembalo(Exercises for Harpsichord) is a collection of thirty sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti. It was published in London on 3 February 1739 and dedicated by the composer to King John V of Portugal. The latter summoned the composer to Lisbon to teach his daughter, Barbara of Portugal, to play the harpsichord.
