Miroslav "Miro" Žbirka was a Slovak pop and rock singer and songwriter, widely popular in 1980s Czechoslovakia. Born in Bratislava to a Slovak father and an English mother, he sang in Slovak, English, and Czech. He sometimes recorded in London, but lived in Slovakia and since early 1990s in Prague, Czech Republic, where he died.
The Czech Republic, presented as Czechia since 2023, has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 11 times since making its debut in 2007. After receiving nul points in the semi-final of the 2009 contest and due to a lack of interest from the Czech public, Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) decided not to participate in future contests. ČT announced its return to the contest in 2015, with an internal selection being used to select its fourth Eurovision entry.

Kabát is a Czech hard rock band from Teplice formed in 1983. The members of the group are Josef Vojtek, Milan Špalek, Tomáš Krulich (guitar), Ota Váňa (guitar), and Radek Hurčík (drums). Kabát has enjoyed major popularity in their home country since 1989, and they are the holders of multiple Anděl Awards. The band represented the Czech Republic as the country's first entry in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 in Helsinki, Finland. Between 2003 and 2017, they won the Český slavík award twelve times. In 2014, they were inducted into the Beatová síň slávy, the Czech equivalent of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are considered one of the most successful rock acts in Czech history.
Chinaski is a Czech pop rock group. In 2005, they won an Anděl Award, granted by the Czech Academy of Popular Music, and repeated this success in 2007. They have also repeatedly placed in the top ranks of the Český slavík awards.

The Czech Republic participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Aven Romale" written by Radoslav "Gipsy" Banga. The song was performed by the group Gipsy.cz, which was internally selected by the Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) to represent the nation at the 2009 contest in Moscow, Russia. Gipsy.cz was announced as the Czech entrant on 30 January 2009, while ČT organised the national final Eurosong 2009 in order to select the song that Gipsy.cz would perform. Two songs were presented on 28 February 2009 and the public had until 14 March to vote for their favourite song, which resulted in "Aven Romale" as the Czech entry on 14 March 2009.
Hana Hegerová was a Slovak singer and actress. Often referred to as the Queen of Czechoslovak chanson, she gained popularity primarily as a singer of chansons. Outside of her homebase, Hegerová has attained a recognition especially in German-speaking countries. She lived in Prague, Czech Republic.
Tomáš Klus is a Czech musician and songwriter from the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic.
Petr Muk was a Czech pop musician, composer, and performer, famous in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Muk began playing music at the age of fifteen, performing with various underground punk bands including Dural and Gas, together with classmate and later bandmate Petr Kučera. From 1985 until 1993, he led the Czech synth-pop group Oceán, after which he founded the synth-pop group Shalom (1992–1996). Both these ensembles were heavily influenced by the English synth-pop duo Erasure, a band whose UK tour Oceán had supported between 1989 and 1990. In 2004, Muk released a tribute EP to his idols.
Buty is a Czech music group originally from Ostrava, formed in 1986 by Richard Kroczek and Radek Pastrňák from the bands U238 and B komplex. The founding members were joined by Vít Kučaj, Ivan Myslikovjan, and Luděk Piásečný. The name of the group means "shoes" in the local dialect.
Charlie Straight were a Czech indie rock band formed in Třinec in 2006. They combined indie rock with melodic and often electronic musical elements, and all their lyrics were sung in English. They released two studio albums and won a number of awards, before breaking up in 2013. Lead singer Albert Černý went on to form the indie pop group Lake Malawi, who represented the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Kryštof is a Czech pop rock band founded in 1994 in Havířov by Richard Krajčo, Nikolaj Arichtev, Jaroslav Blahut, Biser Arichtev, and Pavel Studník. As of 2023, they have released nine studio albums, one EP, three live albums, one remix album, and two compilations.
Boris Carloff is a Czech musician, composer and record producer. In 2012 he released the Apollo Award-winning album The Escapist, followed by Morphosis in 2014.
Katarze is the debut studio album of the Czech pop music group Slza. The album was released on November 13, 2015 by Universal Music. The group recorded in DC Sound studio from December 2013 to October 2015 under the supervision of producer Dalibor Cídlinský. The music for the songs was composed by Cídlinský and the guitarist of the band Lukáš Bundil, the author of the lyrics is Ondřej Ládek, known under the pseudonym Xindl X. For the album, the band was nominated for three awards 2015; Group of the Year, Discover the Year and Album of the Year. At the same time, the board was well sold, in the Czech IFPI debut in the first place and in the front seats was also held throughout the year 2016. During this year, it was awarded a three-platter board.
Lucie is a Czech rock band. After an initial period of stabilization of band members and musical style (1985-1987), they entered the music scene with their first single "Pár fíglů" in 1988. Over the next sixteen years, the band released seven studio albums, two concert albums, and one compilation album. On 2 October 2004, the group entered a "planned creative break" that ended in December 2012.
The Czech Republic originally planned to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "Kemama" written by Osama Verse-Atile, Ben Cristóvão, Charles Sarpong and Rudy Ray. The song was performed by Benny Cristo, which is the artistic name of singer Ben Cristóvão. The Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) organised the national final Eurovision Song CZ 2020 in order to select the Czech entry for the 2020 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Seven entries competed in the national final and "Kemama" performed by Benny Cristo was announced as the winner on 3 February 2020 following the combination of votes from an eleven-member international jury panel and a public vote.
Ben da Silva Cristóvão, known professionally as Ben Cristovao or Benny Cristo, is a Czech singer, lyric writer, sportsman, and actor. He was nominated to represent the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam after winning the national round with the song Kemama. After the contest was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Czech Television confirmed on that Cristo would instead represent the Czech Republic in the 2021 contest. Benny Cristo sings in both Czech and English.
Vojtěch Dyk is a Czech actor and singer. The son of the literary critic Radko Pytlík, as a singer he is known for being frontman of musical groups Nightwork and Tros Discotequos.
Mandrage was a Czech pop rock band from Plzeň, active between 2001 and 2020. The group consisted of Vít Starý Matyáš Vorda (drums), Josef Bolan, Michal Faitl (bass), and František Bořík (keyboards). Their biggest hits include "Šrouby a matice", "Františkovy lázně", "Hledá se žena", "Na dlani", and "Motýli".
