Goodnight was a village in southern Polk County, Missouri, United States. Located on Route 215, the community is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 18 at the 2010 census.
A post office called Goodnight was established in 1883, and remained in operation until 1906. [5] The community has the name of J. H. Goodnight, the proprietor of a local mill. [6] The village incorporated in 2003. [7] The village was disincorporated, effective December 12, 2016. [8]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village had a total area of 0.72 square miles (1.86 km2), of which 0.70 square miles (1.81 km2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km2) is water. [1]
