Grand Prix of Europe is an upcoming 2025 animated sports comedy film directed by Waldemar Fast. The film stars an ensemble cast including Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Gemma Arterton, Hayley Atwell, and Lenny Henry.

Produced by Mack Magic and Timeless Films, the film is scheduled for a 24 July 2025 release in German theaters.

Production

The film was announced in July 2024 as the film will coincide with the 50-year anniversary of the German theme park Europa-Park and its real-life mascot counterparts, Edda and Ed Euromous, in 2025. [1] Waldemar Fast will be directing the film from a script by Kirstie Falkous, Jeffrey Hylton and John T. Reynolds. [2] Producer Michael Mack stated that the film will be "the first in a family-friendly franchise". [2]

Viva Pictures will distribute the film in North America, under their Viva Kids label. [3]

Legacy

Video game

Serving as a tie-in to the film, Ed & Edda: Grand Prix – Racing Champions will be released on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. [4]

Attraction

In 2025, Europa-Park will open an interactive attraction called Grand Prix EDventure. [5]
