The Greece men's national under-26 basketball team is the Under-26 age men's national basketball team for Greece. It is not to be confused with the first-tier Greece men's national basketball team. The Greece men's Under-26 national team has been used to represent Greece at the Mediterranean Games.
The Greece men's under-26 national team has won the following medals at the Mediterranean games Basketball Tournament: the bronze medal at the 1987 Mediterranean Games, and silver medals at the 1991 Mediterranean Games, the 2001 Mediterranean Games, the 2005 Mediterranean Games, and the 2009 Mediterranean Games.

Sport in Albania revolves mostly around team sports, such as football, basketball, volleyball and handball. Other sports includes boxing, weightlifting, tennis, swimming, judo, karate, athletics, table tennis, and chess. Football in particular has seen a rapid transformation, with the Albania national football team making its debut at the 1964 UEFA European Football Championship. The national football team also qualified for the 2016 UEFA European Football Championship. Many Albanian athletes have also achieved significant success and have won European and Mediterranean titles in numerous sports during the years, such as wrestling, football, athletics and weightlifting. Albanian athletes have won a total 49 medals for Albania in 8 different Mediterranean sports. Albania has had some success in others sport such as volleyball and basketball as well.

During his playing career, Giannakis was also widely-known under his nickname of "O Drákos", or "The Dragon" in English.
Nikolaos "Nikos" Zisis is a Greek basketball executive and former professional basketball player. During his pro club playing career, at a height of 1.97 m tall, he played at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. He was inducted into the Greek Basket League Hall of Fame in 2022. He is currently the general manager of the senior Greek men's national basketball team.

At a height of 2.06 m (6'9") tall, he played at both the small forward and power forward positions, with power forward being his main position. Ioannis Georgallis is a Greek former professional basketball player, who finished his club playing career as the team captain of Kolossos Rodou of the Greek Basket League and a current basketball coach. At a height of 2.00 m tall, and a weight 104 kg (230 lbs), he mainly played at the small forward position.
