The Greece national futsal team is controlled by the Hellenic Football Federation, the governing body for futsal in Greece and represents the country in international futsal competitions, such as the World Cup and the European Championships. The greatest achievement of the Greece national futsal team is the qualification to the second preliminary round of the European Championships of 2014. The coach of the team is Stefanos Soilemes since 2008. The players are chosen from the Greek Futsal Super League, the Futsal Championship of Greece. The last years there is a player, Konstantinos Panou who plays in Spain. As the team is in position number 81 of the Futsal World Ranking has to pass through both the first and the second preliminary round in order to play to a competition like World Cup or Euro.

Coach of the team is Stefanos Soilemes since 2008. He is also the coach of the U21 Greece national futsal team. Stefanos Soilemes was born in Germany and came to Greece in 1992. He was a futsal player from 1997 to 2007, playing in teams like Iniochos and Keratsini and from 2000 he was a member of the Greece national futsal team. In 2007 he was the assistant coach of Sergey Stulov in the team and he took over the team in 2008. From 2012 until today he is also the coach of the Beach Soccer national Greek team.
The Greece national futsal team remains unqualified for a major competition. The biggest achievement is the qualification to the second preliminary round of the European Championships of 2014. In this round the team defeated Poland and lost to Portugal and Serbia.[ citation needed ]
The team trained for the first qualifying round of the Futsal Euro 2018. Greece played against Wales, Moldova and San Marino. The matches took place in Wales in the end of January 2017. The first of this group played against Spain, Serbia and Poland in a group that took place in Poland in March or April 2017. As a part of this preparation Greece national futsal team played against Bulgaria and Turkey in Chalkida in a tournament that took place in Chalkida, Greece in November 2016.

Nikolaos Georgalis, commonly known as either Nikos Galis, or Nick Galis, is a Greek former professional basketball player. Galis, who during his playing days was nicknamed, "Nick The Greek", "The Gangster", and "The Iron Man", is widely regarded as Europe's greatest scorer to ever play the game, and as one of the all-time greatest players in FIBA international basketball history. In 1991, Galis was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players. In 2007, he became an inaugural member of the FIBA Hall of Fame. In 2008, he was chosen as one of the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors. In 2017, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In 2018, he was named one of the 101 Greats of European Basketball. In 2022, he was inducted in to the Greek Basket League Hall of Fame.
Panagiotis "Notis" Giannakis, alternatively spelled Panayiotis Yiannakis or Yannakis, is a former Greek professional basketball player and coach. He is considered to be one of the greatest sportspeople of Greece. He started his senior career at the age of just 13 at Ionikos Nikaias and after noticeable success, he achieved extraordinary success as a player with Aris Thessaloniki from 1984 to 1993, in partnership with Greek basketball's biggest star Nikos Galis along with the rest of the squad, while achieving victory as the national team captain in EuroBasket 1987 in Athens, Greece's first major tournament win in non-Olympic sport which, along with Aris' extraordinary success, cultivated the sport in the country. At the end of his career, he won the EuroLeague with Panathinaikos in 1996 As head coach, he most prominently led Greece to its second European trophy in EuroBasket 2005 at Serbia and Montenegro, where a team of new and talented stars shone brightest under the nurturship of Giannakis. He would repeat the success the next year, acquiring the silver medal at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan, where the team most notably scored a decisive win against the USA stars of the NBA in the semi-final, which would be USMNBT's last loss in a tournament until 2019. However, Greece's arch rivals Spain would defeat Giannakis' team in the final, as they would do again in the semi-finals of the 2007 EuroBasket. Outside of the Greek national team, he would coach Greek clubs like Aris, where he had the most success as player, Olympiacos, where he achieved renewed success, and the China men's national basketball team. As a player, he was primarily a point guard, but he could also play at the shooting guard position. During his playing career, Giannakis was also widely-known under his nickname of "O Drákos", or "The Dragon" in English.

Born in Jeseník, Czechoslovakia, he is a 2.10 m, 120 kg (265 lbs.) power forward and center. He was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2nd round of the 2006 NBA draft.
Panagiotis Vasilopoulos, commonly known as Panos Vasilopoulos is a Greek former professional basketball player who last served as an assistant coach for Peristeri of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League, under head coach Vassilis Spanoulis. He is 2.05 m tall. He played at both the small forward and power forward positions.

Basketballin Greece erupted with the win of the Greece men's national basketball team at the 1987 EuroBasket in Athens, which caused a general basketball euphoria in the country. Since then, the Greece men's national teams have achieved consistent international success, leading Greece to join Russia, Serbia, Croatia, Italy, Spain, France, and Lithuania in the circle of European basketball powers. In addition to the Greece national team's triumph in 1987, they won the gold medal at the 2005 EuroBasket, silver medals at the 1989 EuroBasket, and the 2006 FIBA World Cup, and the bronze medal at the 2009 EuroBasket.
The England women's national under-19 football team, also known as England women Under-19s or England women U19(s), is a youth association football team operated under the auspices of The Football Association. Its primary role is the development of players in preparation for the senior England women's national football team and is the second highest tier of development behind the under-23 level. As long as they are eligible, players can play for England at any level, making it possible to play for the U19s, U23s or senior side, and again for the U19s. Konstantinos "Kostas" Missas is a Greek former professional basketball player, and current professional basketball coach. He is currently the head coach of Olympiacos women basketball team. He also coached the Greece men's national basketball team at the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket. During his playing career, he was nicknamed "The General".
Sotiris "Sotos" Nikolaidis (Greek: Σωτήρης "Σώτος" Νικολαΐδης;, is a retired Greek professional basketball player and current basketball coach. During his club playing career, at a height of 1.86 m tall, he played at the point guard and shooting guard positions.
The 1968–69 season was the 45th season in the existence of AEK Athens F.C. and the tenth consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. They competed in the Alpha Ethniki, the Greek Cup and the European Cup. The season began on 18 September 1968 and finished on 15 June 1969.
