The Futsal Confederations Cup is a futsal tournament for national teams. It is contested by the winners of each of the six FIFA confederation championships (AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, UEFA, OFC), the winner of the FIFA Futsal World Cup and the host country. [1] It is not to be confused with the Continental Futsal Championship, a friendly tournament hosted annually by Thailand. [2]
On 2009, Iran became the first national team to win the inaugural Confederations Cup. [3]

As per statistical convention in football, matches decided in extra time are counted as wins and losses, while matches decided by penalty shoot-outs are counted as draws. The FIFA World Cup, often called the World Cup, is an international association football competition among the senior men's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The tournament has been held every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, with the exception of 1942 and 1946 due to the Second World War. The 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup was the ninth FIFA Confederations Cup, which was held in Brazil from 15 to 30 June 2013 as a prelude to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The most recent winners of the six continental championships appeared in the tournament, along with hosts Brazil and UEFA Euro 2012 runners-up Italy, who qualified because the Euro 2012 winners, Spain, had also won the most recent FIFA World Cup in 2010 thus securing a spot in the tournament.

The tournament was held in Lithuania. It marked the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Lithuania and the third Futsal World Cup hosted in Europe; the others being 1989 in the Netherlands and 1996 in Spain.
The futsal competition at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 7 to 18 October. At Tecnópolis and the CeNARD, the first one located in Villa Martelli, and the second one in Buenos Aires. There are two tournaments, one for boys and one for girls.

The 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup will be the 3rd edition of AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup, the international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the women's national teams of Asia. The tournament will be held between 7 and 18 May 2025.
